my freind helped me fix my issue.
if uwant to try here's what he had me do.
Move your MapleStory folder from C:Nexon to outside where the Nexon folder is.

You, sir, are the legend. Thanks.
Same story here, worked fine until the recent patcher.
I reinstalled maple and tried to update with the manual patch and it gets stuck at Base.wz
So then I reinstalled again and tried to load from website and still nothing happens. The process is running in the background but the client doesn't load.
If what @ShivaLau said is true about fixing the problem by copying the files from a different computer, then the problem is with the patcher not updating the files correctly.
Update: Tried copying installation files from a different computer that could run maple after the update. No success.
@noobiest123: i dont know man...
@noobiest123: no, im using my Asus Win 7 Desktop; and its not a compatibility issue, cuz maple auto adjusts to work on the best settings. the problem was in the minor patch they did that's, blocking our comps from loading maple prob...
no i mean like since it works on other people's computers, the patch itself is proven to be able to function. therefore unless it's something wrong with our individual computers for whatever reason, the most plausible reason is that our computers' builds dont mesh with this new patch
Oh.. It happened on my sony vaio laptop :o
But it's fixed when I delete MapleStory and copy the file from my other PC.
it's possibly that it's a sony vaio compability thing all 4 people who i've asked so far had sony laptops

Works now but what i did was try the maplestory.exe thing and couldn't find target so i decided to work wit game launcher. i moved it to the maplestory folder and moved it back to the desktop and set it as run as admin and it worked. (Well technically i said run as admin after i clicked the pop up that you have to say yes for but it worked anyways so id don't care...)
There are multiple things that you can do.
1) Try using a different browser when launching the game
2) Try to the launcher as administrator
3) Try if all fails delete ALL Maplestory files and re download the game by clicking play on the home page. {This will download and install the game in one action (may take a bit longer)}
And if possible can you post the error code that you are getting, it would help a lot in order to figure out whats wrong
u should play a different game
