Decent computer for maple story?

Hi guys, I've recently noticed that my current laptop is overheating, slowing down, and almost always laggy, so it's time for a new computer . It's also a great time to get some fantastic deals! @Evers: why thank you (: and scania and windia are pretty close popultion-wise, so it's about the same legginess.

@LAZYkid123: I was out of town (San Fransico area ) on a trip, so there was only and apple store were I was, so I couldn't on BF, good thing there's cyber Monday!

@Darknessichi: thanks

@OEternalFate: trust me, I would somehow start building it and will become something like a nuclear bomb by mistake, I rather not blow up my school haha.

@lvleclnic: configure how?

@doncorleonU: thanks! Glad to know

@timimbores: yay! Glad to hear this :S

@cammy: okay! My current one is 5.4lbs so I was wondering it was simlar. I like the red color maybe, idk. I'll check out if best buy has wither of those models in stock!

-does anyone have a HP model similar like this and tell how it works?

@healtoast: I'm not too concerned about the size, it could be between 14-17' for all I care,it just seemed like the best deal with (seemingly) best parts I guess?
@XxXepicGee: though desktops are much better for gaming, i travel back and forth from California and Nevada quite often (college and hometown). For example, Christmas break is coming up and I'll have break for 6-8 weeks, so I need something portable . Im glad to hear that it won't be too pricy and thanks for the suggestion. I'll probably end up going to best buy and ask employees and then buy it cyber Monday ,

-computer smarties- is there a certain GB/ram to run at 100% capacity? [for maple story]
i have a small hp laptop that i payed about 700 for and it runs the game like a charm. the only time i have problems is at lhc during 2x and fm cc1 but its still very playable. i have 4gb ram but the processor is gonna decide whether you can run the game well or not i have an intel core i3. an i5 or i7 would run the game much better.

>17.3 inch laptop
Then why not buy a desktop? A laptop that big isn't really portable.

Oh, and Maple can practically run off a computer using an Intel Pentium @ 1.6 and 2 gb RAM.

>worrying about comp specs for maple

I don't think you need to worry just don't buy a 10 year old comp with windows 98 on it

and plus AMD is awesome.

@Xdeathly123x: I don't really have a budget, but I have a Mac for most school work, this comp wousld be mostly for gaming and a few classes that are easier to use a PC in. So I decided if I'm going to invest so much time in this game, I might as well use a bit of cash to enjoy it more . Thanks for the tip!

@cam: hi cyber stalker . I have a cooling pad right now! (acer laptops are the opiffiny of overheating, lol). I checked out the computer and it looks pretty decent (: what's the weight of it, and do you lag very often in fmcc1 or while training at LHC? Thanks <3

Laptops are usually going to give you an overheating problem. Especially those running on AMD. Sure AMD gives you better performance for your money, but unless you're running a desktop which has a nice cooling system, most AMD processors will give you overheating problems.

I suggest you get a laptop cooling pad, they come at around 35-40 dollars, don't go cheap on this. Whether it's intel or AMD, laptops are small, and they will give you heating issues.

I think this laptop is much better for your purposes, and something you should compare to when you buy.
