My Journey to quitting my addictions
hi guys, if you don't recognize me from this thread, my name is oAZNvTOFUo, and I'm an huge EX-game addict.
I used to play games so much that it was affecting my social, emotional, and physical health, that I've inclined to stop.
I thought it would be a fun idea if I kept a log on this site to show my progression... kinda lame but hey! haha .
[header]week 4[/header]
So, it's been about 4 weeks, and I have to say, I've been gradually improving. My physical endurance has improved from exercising everyday and getting enough sleep, also my grades have been steadily (not capriciously though...) increasing. As for my social life - well, I've tried to gain some friends here and there, but it is too difficult for me to catch up with the latest "fads" or bands that they talk about... Hopefully, I'll get into those stuff soon.
I'm getting tired of same old routine of running, however... can you guys tell me any other fun exercises I could do by myself regarding cardiovascular endurance? Thanks in advance!
Although it's been 4 weeks, I have numerous temptations here and there (my parents bought a new computer which means -> games downloadable under an hour...) but I'm trying my best to fight them... gah o.o

Kind of read the other thing about you being socially-awkward.
You should embrace that social awkwardness in a joking matter and people will think you're funny haha
Oh and this stranger here is proud of you
It's hard to break from things you're addicted to but one small step at a time is good and be patient, good things will happen.
Learn to play music.
Music is a game in itself, as well as an art.
Music is a huge part of my life actually! Although I enjoy rock, pop, korean-ballads (<- lol), I'm a classical nerd myself
I've received many accolades for my musical activities like state orchestra, and solo festivals

Haha well, to be honest, it is sometimes enticing... but since my computer is a massive hunk of dinosaur, and I've erased all my games off of it, not to mention all my characters/info from my games (except this one, I still wanted to partake in this forum), I don't think I ever have a chance of going back. (My parents told me if I download games on the new computer, they'll have my head lol)

Play sports. To me, its the best way to excercise. I play on my school's football team and baseball team. It was lots of fun, and it helped me get into better shape.
Grats man, you should try quitting games by throwing out all of your in-game valuables. It really works for me! Also get a gym membership if you want to exercise.
youre prolly just ugly irl i meant ur appearance*
well, maybe I am, maybe I am not. The fact does not change or affect what I'm trying to do with my life. Did I say I wanted to become more attractive? Well maybe, but my primary goal isn't that. My goal is to become a better person, which in my case, is to regain my health and not lose sight of what is important in my life.
If possible, find a running partner. Better yet, find a group or you could join the track team at school. It certainly helped me to be part of a group. I just started running solo today after taking a month off and it's just not the same.
Gratz on your achievement!
You can try dancing or playing sports with others. Hope you're successful
That's awesome man, keep up the good work! When I get bored with running I just take up a new route for a change of scenery. Gl
Good job.
I could never stop playing video games
