Maplestory Firepower v163 Bug Thread
Hey guys, since the Firepower update has been released, there was lots of new changes/content, and along with this probably lots of bugs. Post all the known glitches/bugs in this thread to spread
awareness, I guess ill tag @Artasi in this thread so he can see it.
Posts marked (?) are speculation until more people can confirm.
So far I am aware of:
El nath making players get stuck
Beast tamers glitching badly when fighting Zakum
Black Slime Boss Soul only working in some maps (?)
Root Abyss (Normal) Pierre and Queen's chests are unopenable. EDIT: This is not a glitch, they are now opened by using normal attacks, just a change.
Root Abyss (Normal) Von Bon's drops are overlapping eachother in a weird manner
Chaos Root Abyss: Dropping nothing except for Boss Souls (?) [According to ally members] EDIT: Apparently this only effects Queen and Pierre
Act 5 of Black Heaven is glitched because a JQ platform that should be moving is not moving (?)
Beast Tamers unable to receive rewards (?)
Beast Tamers Leopard skills have frame-rate freezing glitches (?)
VL (Normal) also has the weird drop overlapping.
Henesys market is bugged. The shortcut portal from left of the free market entrance to the henesys park is gone. There are also two portals that go from henesys market to henesys park (both beside eachother) (?)
Normal Lotus automatically assumes you're hacking when you enter (?)
Reaching the coin limit on FIREPOWER Cases prevents Crystal Chests from giving coins.
Draws in Yut only give 1 reward point, despite the game explicitly stating it should give an amount equal to a lose.
Players that started Grand Athenaesum before the update and didn't complete it can not enter the map, as it tries to send the player back to their 'previous location,' which the game thinks is Star World Event Map. (This place is required for Maple Contents Book, and getting everything in the book gives 200 coins.)
BUGS THAT ARE SUPPOSED TO BE FIXED AFTER JULY 9THS UPDATE TO V163.2.0:
A temporary fixed has been applied to El Nath that prevents pets, familiars, androids, and Haku from being summoned.
Set bonus has been removed from the Dread Master set.
Beast Tamers will now be able to receive rewards from the Guardian Blessing Gifts. Click on the quest notifier on the left side of the game window and select the quest '[Beast Tamer] Guardian's Blessing' to receive a random reward.
Sealed equipment will now be able to be cubed.
The error message "An illegal program has been detected. Please try again after reinstalling the game. Illegal program usage could result in banning from the game." will no longer appear unwarranted when fighting normal mode Lotus.
The daily limit of FIREPOWER coins can now be obtained from the Crystal Chests after receiving the daily limit from the FIREPOWER case.
I have a suspicion that Chaos Pierre/Queen may still drop things besides souls, I think it has to do with people not realizing the boxes are attack-triggered now not click-triggered.

u missed it a few..
Most Boss drops seem to be overlapping IE normal VL on 4x drop should drop like a TON of items around 40 in total? idk how many but TONS..i got like maybe 10 items on the floor overlapping on ea other. Also i think there was a minor bug on beast tamer when u use the leopard to atk, the move frame i would freeze 1 second unfreeze,.. not sure if anyone else getting that

@GoldenHedgy Thanks for clearing that up.
Chaos Von Bon and Chaos Vellum both drop CRA equips. Just went last night and got some drops of my own. Only ones affected so far is just Queen and Pierre.

@SimonHe890 Oh? If that's the case then maybe it's just an intentional change.
Piere and Queen's chests are opened by using normal attack. They're no longer triggered by clicking.

A guildie told me that you could attack the chest (basic attks)
