Swipe Worth Maxing?
I just hit lvl 100 on my wild hunter, and was trying to decide which of my 3rd job skills will not be maxed. The skills currently not maxed are wild trap, swipe, and enduring fire (I has heard our version of hurricane will quickly outdo enduring fire, so it will most likely be the one I leave short). I guess I was just wondering about people's experiences with swipe? is it difficult to incorporate into playing style? Does it have a really slow cast like dash n slash?
Sorry if this is not clear, was just wondering how much better/worse the skill was after Ascension.

Swipe is much better then DnS
Probably best mobbing skill you get.

Blind doesn't work on bosses a.k.a LHC monsters.
You should use swipe @ LHC , but only if you're attacking 3+ mobs
You won't use HP potions as well.. @ Union patch swipe is gonna hit like 300% x 4 .
Anyway , it's the best mobbing skill for WH's. (-:
Yes. Definitely.
Firstly, its 190% x 4 x 6, thats a grand total of 4560% damage on a mob of 6, 760% per monster. Thats better than SnD AND Enduring Fire. Not to mention you heal 5% every time. Its a good survivability move.
Secondly, it gets revamped to 300% per swipe like @Sevk said. Thats A LOT to miss out on.
You have the option of leaving out Blind and Enduring Fire (Since it gets replaced as soon as you get WaB).
IMO, it's better than Dash n' Slash.
Any mobs that you encounter with 3+, you use swipe. It's also getting heavily buffed during our revamp. Max swipe and leave out either EF or Blind.
Swipe as far as I know has the best mob dps on a large number of mobs, but obviously not as efficient as Wab due to the fact you need to get hit/be close.
