Completed one of the sets titled "Silent Crusade". Getting each of the monster cards in the set rewards you with the set bonus which automatically changes the stats of the monster book in the equip window.
Each set is worth a different amount of points, Silent Crusade set being worth a total of 240 points. As you accumulate points, the primary stats of the monster book increase (My total points equal to 420, so the book evolved to being 4/4/4/4 stats.)
If you complete multiple sets, you can chose which set you want to use as the cover of your book, and the bonus of the set will take effect in the potential stats area of your monster book in the equips window.
Although it might seem like a regular potential, the monster book is a unique feature giving you these stats. It cannot be recubed using any types of cubes.

@OpTicNation: Mu Gong in Mu Lung Dojo does drop a card. All other monsters from previous stages does not drop cards.
I didn't start the silent crusader quest so I did't know where Coco is located, but thanks anyways. I find him in GMS now
@OpTicNation Do you remember what level that last monster was? Approximately?
@Riakoh: All monsters from Mu Lung Dojo do not drop any monster cards.
@maple199: Sorry for the late reply, but I'd take a guess at the very bottom right monster is the hardest, due to it being one of the last of the time consuming questline. Good thing is that now all the Silent Crusade set monsters have their own mini-dungeon, so no more waiting for them to respawn (besides the 1 hour time-limit between entering the mini-dungeons). Out of all the bosses I've only had to kill one of each, besides Eliza, as all of them dropped the card the first time - some even two cards.
@yyang316868: This is Tespia, the developers decided to reimplement the Monster Book feature as test content. From the old version of it, they've extended the information of monsters and give simpler details of individual monsters. To open the book, there is a Hotkey preset or in your Keyboard Configuration if you've it occupied already.
@Countless: Sorry for the late reply, as Tespia just ended (Sorry again.) But Coco was the last boss in the questline in Leafre.
@metaghost3: Almost all Masteria based monsters are not included in this version of the Monster Book, same as last time. One thing to note is that a transition from the old Monster Book, the Crusader Codex now features all Zipangu monsters.
@evan111998: There's still a chance, buddy!
Double posted. How do I get rid of this?
Where did you find Coco?
That's the only card I'm missing!
i dont get it, i thought they remove the monster book thing. then how do you suppose to open it or get the card at all o.o
you get the monster book automattically on a new slot. and you cant unequip.
I don't know, Cygnus perhaps?
Sorry, I was referring to this particular set. Silent Crusade.
What is the level of the last monster you have to kill to get their card?
I don't know, Cygnus perhaps?
What is the level of the last monster you have to kill to get their card?
so do the diffent Set bonuses stack, or do i have to pick only 1 bonues @ a time?
You can only have one at a time. One of the set bonuses is %3ATT, %3M.ATT. It'll be replaced in the potential area of the Monster Book
Is 30 charm needed for that?
This looks cool. When will it come out?
It's the last part of Chaos. Patch should be the same usual time, 10pm PST, August 9.
I'm actually really excited for the return of Monster Book. I was too noob to fully enjoy it the first time.
Was obtaining all of the sets difficult to do?
This particular set was only time consuming due to the fact my stats were beyond normal. On the real server it might be harder for lower leveled Maplers.
Some difficult sets include getting every Henesys Ruins cards and all Temple of Time cards, including Cygnus and Pink Bean, respectively.
demonzero14 In tespia you can enter after 1 hour from the previous visit to the mini-dungeon
Ahh, thanks mightily.
@demonzero14 In tespia you can enter after 1 hour from the previous visit to the mini-dungeon
Is this true? Very nice if so
Yes, this is true. I'm not sure on respawn times, however. It may be similar to Pap, only two in twenty four hours, or something along those lines.
This looks cool. When will it come out?
In part five of the Chaos patch... So, next update. According to the website, that's on August tenth.
Also, thank you, uploader. You explained the system very well. It's appreciated.
This looks cool. When will it come out?
It seems pretty nice. I was very sad when they removed Monster Book I had worked so hard on mine </3 that's what I did when I got bored of training
@skyares the "potential"you see is the bonus from the different card sets. You can choose which one you want
Is the Monster Book a pocket item or something? Or we get a totally new slot for it?
Pocket is another slot (it unlocks once you have 30 charm)

Monster book is above the medal slot while pocket is below the medal slot.
Im sure nexon will come out with a cube for it.... more money for them?
You cant use a potential scroll on it.
Is the Monster Book a pocket item or something? Or we get a totally new slot for it?
It doesn't have a new slot, actually. It simply takes an empty blank space in the equipment window (top left), and it is permanent in that position. It cannot be removed.
