What kind of music do you like?

Hello there!

Lately, whilst chillin with my friends, i've noticed that they like to listen to one type of music and that type only. I myself like to mix it up constantly, and have a wide variety of music on my iPod. From Coletrane to post-core screamo, and everything in between. I find it kind of odd that some people listen to only one genre, that would drive me crazy!

Anyways, enough about me. What kind of music do you listen to? Is it only one genre? Or are you in the same boat as me and like to listen to it all?

Thanks for replying!
@bloodIsShed: I never said I didn't like OST. It's not even my opinion that it's not real music. It's not. It's soundtrack music. Seriously: WHY don't you listen to music from record companies, you know, by musical artists?
is music, music? there you go.
also, you're deluding yourself if you think there aren't music artists and record companies behind anime osts (by anime osts i'm counting all the music released in cd for any given anime series)

I don't listen to 99.99999% of non-baroque/classical/romantic/impressionist music.

everyone has their taste in music. i might not be into metal or whatever, but i don't go and tell people who like listening to metal that they should listen to "real music".
saying so is incredibly rude to say the least. (which explains my response from before)
Wow, ive never heard any Japanese screamo before. This is actually really good.
That's not screamo, that's visual kei. More exaples of visual kei girugamesh, ViViD, Alice Nine, DELUHI, heidi, NIGHTMARE
An example of japanese screamo is Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas.
People think it's weird when I tell them what I like...

Thrash metal
Dubstep (not chillstep...)
Drum and bass
Electro house
80s pop
Heavy metal
Death metal
Power metal
Rock
Hard rock

Because notice how thrash metal is a genre where its fans are like "EVERY OTHER GENRE IS STUPID AND TOO MAINSTREAM", whereas dubstep is super popular? I don't know why I like both of those. I think they're similar in a way, but nobody would ever agree.

@bloodIsShed why not listen to real music? I just don't get it.
@xdarkshynobi so many intelligent, talented, technical heavy metal artists but everyone thinks of metal as screamo nowadays so they just judge it quickly
keep your crappy opinion to yourself, thanks

I dont realy listen to "genres" per se. I listen to singers I love. Ex: One Direction, Demi Lovato, Taylor Swift, Fifth Harmony, etc. But a genre I do like is contemporary Christian worship.

I like genius. Someone who excels in their art. Either it be Piano, Violin, Guitar, Vocal, Sound mixing, Words. If it has enough feeling behind it, i generally like it.
