The origin of Maplestory
So i was gonna share one of my thoughts about where the story in Maplestory comes from.
Ill try to keep it short and clean. Some of you will get it, some wont.
1989 there was an [url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VXMFjK9Tx3k]animated series of peter pan[/url] which in the beginning might seem totally unrelated to Maplestory.
The story is about Peter Pan (duh) and Neverland, which can already be associated with Ereve. The main topic of this series is that the "white lady" (associated with Empress) of Neverland is being possesed by evil forces (associated with Black Mage).
Do you think Nexon grew up watching this series which by the way is an anime?
The reason why i started thinking of this is because of the [url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AEGFCGfkKBY&feature=c4-overview&list=UUCJsgpL8MufdRMUxjm2zKHQ]new content[/url] on KMS by Spadow.

youre right but can you disagree this is the closest "common story" to maplestory? if you know something thats more similar please tell me i want to watch it
@jeht1 yes and then came the storyline of empress and black mage, and now white mage. and its this storyline im associating with the peter pan series i mentioned
the whole "land taken over by evil force" is a very common story though
same with the goddess, hero, villain archetypes o.o

Indeed! Finally someone who sees the similarities
@Miauri as you may know since youre lvl200 maplestory didnt always have a main storyline. The idea could still mainly come from this series
@cool123ter i agree. but it hasnt been this obvious about the story and the maps only for like avatars and smaller content

Honestly, 90% of the content on maple is from popular shoes. The bleach ice captains hair is ign. Rukias hair is ign as well. (just the few obvious ones I remember.

in my childhood this was the closest thing to maplestory you could get. the big quest was to find the white mirror to release the white lady from her curse. Cartoon was alot better long ago
