History Question please help
What was the crisis surrounding the 1800 presidential election... This is regarding the "revoltuion of 1800" and i can not find the answer after 1 hour of looking at my book-- and the internet... could anyone help me please.

It was also the first test of the American political system in the sense that power switched from one group to another, and also led to the marginalizing of the Federalists after that. This marked the first time in the history of humans (not just in america) that power was successfully transferred peacefully from one group to another, so yes this is pretty important.
There was a shift in political power, from the ruling (and dominant) Federalists to the Democratic-Republicans
