Why do religion threads have such bad rep?
I like them. They're the most interesting threads to read on the entire forum, in my opinion. I actually think that the "flaming" is a myth. People only seem to be offended if they're really touchy and can't stand to see adversity.

They may not result in anything, but almost no threads do.

I always categorized needless, irrelevant insults as flaming and virtually any other discussion (with opposing viewpoints) as debating.
Religion threads do have a bad rep because people [b]are[/b] touchy.
And, because while discussions/arguments are supposed to change opinions, that never happens in religion threads.
Because nobody cares about what you believe except your religious parents
Because debating is always exactly the same as flaming.
