What makes threads active?
Controversial topics? Humor? Trolling? I really have no idea. The most posts I've ever gotten on a thread was 32, and that was in the GENERAL section. The last thread I posted had no replies. ._. It's difficult to farm attention when your threads die in minutes.
So, what aspect of a thread will make it popular? I'm interested.

Religious threads and Pokemon.
Interesting threads don't make a thread active lol. Most interesting threads go ignored because they're not controversial enough.
Thread's that get the most attention are controversial ones, and it's not the thread itself that indicates the activity of it, it's the people who decide to comment on it. A thread gets really active when there are two opposing sides debating about something. That's why threads about God get so many comments.
To be honest. The threads with +10 pages are the ones that appeal to people's most favorite subject:Themselves
When I post in a thread it helps.
Is bumping it frowned upon?
teehee
everything you listed.
If it has even a remotely interesting title, people will already click on it.
