Windows 8 cant play please help
I just got a GODLY new computer (please dont hate, it's godly to me..I can run WoW,LoL,Zero Online,and Maple - if i could run it - all at once with no lag and perfect Frame Rate, while downloading and installing other games. <3
Here are my specs for all the computer wiz/nerds, this could aid you in targetting the issue further.
Tower and OS - HP Envy Desktop with Windows 8 64-bit
Processor - AMD FX 6120 Six-Core Processor 3.5GHz (It's really 4.1 Ghz)
Memory - 10,240 MB RAM (10GB)
Graphics Card - AMD Radeon HD 7450 1GB
All drivers are up to date.
Why can't I play maple? I've tried everything I've read. Re-install. copy to x86. manual patch. manual patch HS and black cipher. Run in compatability doesnt work, I've tried all the other OS in compatability mode.
I don't get an error message with numbers, just a white nexon box comes up asking for my character name and to type a message to send to Nexon. a Crash Report. game doesnt even launch. as soon as HS goes away that crash report comes up.

Why would you need 10GB or RAM?
Partition your drive and install W7.

Windows 7 VM.
I have Windows 8 and I have had no problems.
I play on Steam and sometimes use the GameLauncher.
Don't listen, Win 8 is great, try right clicking on Maple in the desktop view and properties> Compatibility> win XP
I actually have no idea if this works. But it's worth a try.
Make a partition with Windows 7 on it and play in that partition.
Yea, I got a Windows 8 laptop w/ 1.5TB's and 10 GB memory w/ i7 processor or w.e. it's called. For me, maple kept lagging when I played, but I updated my laptop w/ something that came up, and suddenly everything started working again. I would just recommend that you do every update that your laptop shows you. It should show up on the bottom right of your screen.
i've heard this from many people.
i believe windows 8 has a compatability problem with Maplestory.
Reinstall or restart your computer. If your drivers and everything is up to date, you shouldn't have a problem.
