Papulatus Clock lives in the chasm of Ludibrium, stealing the power of the Time Sphere. He is not alone. He has granted two spirits a power greater than the rest of the continent.
Thanatos, the spirit of magical abilities, guards the east entry of Papulatus' residence. Gatekeeper, named for its brutish strength and durability, guards the west entry. Countless trespassers fall before these guardians, and even more so before the Mighty Papulatus.

Gorgeous pic, nice colors. I think it would've been more effective if you'd left the lineart in. There isn't enough contrast b/t different areas of color for us to distinguish the shapes.
@2above: Timer wouldn't stand a chance against Thanatos or Gatekeeper. And plus, he's not even a spirit to being with. Spirits= cool ;p

@azimuth457: I've been working out how to do more clarity in my works. So far I use ambiguous things to work for me.
I liked the description better than the picture honestly..it was just so blurry. Still nice though.

Side note: Alishar wasn't included in this because it doesn't live in the domain where Papulatus exists. Most people can say Thanatos and/or Gatekeeper has more power than what Alishar could dish out. Alishar just lives in an Eos Tower. Papulatus hogs the Time Sphere to his own greed.
Your sense of 'form' is great, but the whole picture could be improved if the shading weren't so blurry.
