Guess I was lucky to get my staff from 12 to 15 stars with only 200m.

But to make you feel better, I wasted billions trying to enhance a tyrant cape only to have it explode in the end..

getting fan 12-15 was like... 1.5b with a boom. Haku's fan... no boom and like 200m.

Got my Dagger to 12*->15* on 800m and was pretty happy with that.

I boomed the same item twice with star force. It was a superior gollux pendant

I've spent 4.5b on my claw trying to get 15 stars. Still at 12 Q_Q

I dont have recording but I went 1-15 with like only 2 drops or so on a bow ._.

Edit: I have bad luck clicking [ * ] in the first time so sometimes I wait it out. Other times I just yolo click and am outside and it passes for me and other times when I'm within the lucky area, it tends to seem like it fails more. Sorry for your loss.
