Odd folders in MapleStory file folder
Today, I started up my computer and decided to log onto maple. To my surprise, it said I had to patch maple, which lead to it saying that my Base.wz file is corrupt. I opened up my maplestory folder and when I did, I saw two very oddly named folders created today that I know I didn't make. I've provided a SS with the folder names and what happens when I try to patch maple. Inside each folder it just has 00001.tmp (temporary file for those who don't know) and I have no idea what's inside them because I don't open tmp files. I know this may sound silly, but could this be a possible KL? I really only use this computer for maple and pandora/twitter and have no clue how the folders got there. Thanks for reading the wall of text and I'd appreciate any help as to what I should do now. Pretty sure I'm just gonna re-install maple, but I wanted to get a few other opinions in before I did. Thanks.
Hurr I can't read a wall of text ; Two random folders appear in my maplestory folder created today that I didn't make and I can't play, says my Base.wz is corrupt or whatever. If you really can't read that wall of text, I don't really think you could be of much help but thanks anyway.
Whenever there's a patch, it creates a temporary folder with random letters/number and have a ".$$" at the end. The patch files get store in this folder. Normally, this folder get deleted after a patch have been completed; however, when a patch fails, this folder get left behind, while a new temporary folder will be create when you attempt to patch again. These folders are harmless and you could delete them.
Thank you very much for your reply, I believe I'll re-install Maple now. Once again, thanks for not being some random response either.
