After recent patch
I've been getting this "HackShield error 0x00010501 66817" like every five minutes. It has something to do with hackingtools (?) but I'm not running any, and before patch I didn't have this problem, so I think that it cannot have anything to do with other programs I'm running i.e skype or so.
Anyone else with same problem, or fix?

I had this same issue too.
1.c:/ > Nexon > Maplestory
2. Delete the "HShield" folder
3. Go [url=http://maplestory.nexon.net/Support/Downloads.aspx]here[/url] (just maple download page) and download hackshield from there
4. Put it in your Maplestory folder
5. Run gamelauncher as administrator.

yep, no error code it happens just as the black cipher pop up appears
That's strange, I can play normally for like 5 minutes and then it crashes.. I had this same problem while ago after mercedes relase, but cannot think what I did to make it work, I guess i just waited for next patch..

Yeah that's precisely me..
@odrkz I think it doesn't matter when I dont use Chrome to launch maple, right? also this didn't happen before latest patch, so i guess it cannot be that?

i keep getting the maplestory.exe error ive redownloaded ms turned off my firewall/antivirus all of that and restarted yet nothing seems to help
that's true i've tried to uninstall and install again, reboot, shut down unneccessary programs and everything like that, but nothing seems to work. Just gotta wait I guess..
Have you tried launching from your GameLauncher.exe, not website? I got that one also but managed to get through it with gamelauncher
