Hair Advice, Exp or Royal?
Warning, this thread is about wasting money. but it's my money so shush.
Okay, so I'm pissed. I bought 25k NX the other day and ALL I wanted was this EXP hair for my Bucc. I spent 15k+ of it trying with REG coupons, and finally was so annoyed that I switched to Royal coupons because I figured I had a better chance at getting something decent. BUT NO. I got all the ugly Royal hairs... and boom, 25k [i]wasted[/i]. This never happens to me with hair. Especially not EXP.
So my question is, I'm getting some more and I don't know which is safer now. EXP or just Royal ? Since EXP is cheaper and whatnot... I just don't wanna get nothing in my end result again.

On my maurauder, with the cute newbie exp hair/eye coupons, I got sad innocence and evan, and now, all my chars have dc/evan from the last surprise beauty thing <3
Do royal! I get good hairs on my first go like overgrown, hipster wave, nocturne and spiral love royals I guess I'm just kinda lucky though
You can always try short twintails! Used to be royal, but nexon made it exp

It is because most people moved from REG/VIP to Royal since it was released and people prefer Royal over REG/VIP making it so common. It is also because Nexon focuses on Royal. I remember when Royal Hairstyle was not out people were excited about new Hairstyle releases. We wanted to know back then if it was REG or VIP and if the hairstyle looked nice.
However REG/VIP Hairstyles got revamped, but Nexon is not supporting those anymore, we don't get any new EXP/VIP Hairstyles. It is all about Royal.
@pistolkiss: A couple of months ago I was trying to get Spring Waltz on my Mercedes, with no succes. I spent about 40k NX and I stopped, and I am just going to keep Wavy Bob. It doesn't look to bad with a hat on either, except the thing is I got that hairstyle twice, I could have saved some NX if I did stop earlier.
And it was my first time too like you trying to get some certain hairstyle with many attempts...
I usually got it within 1~3 tries for Hairstyles and Faces.
There are people who have spent over 100k NX to get their Hairstyle, I didn't want to see that coming so I quit trying. You could get that hairstyle in real with that amount of money xD.
And as for Special Beauty Coupons, it isn't that bad but sure you will get weird and crazy combos as result. But you can get a nice look without spending NX to fix it. I have a couple of character from last year with a nice look but I did get a new hairstyle in the past months not because I didn't like it. I will try those coupons on my mule

the purple envelop event is starting soon and that means u can get exp hairs for free in game!
so you can wait till event start and start using them envelop

There have only ever been two good Royal hairs, in my opinion--the 'Wavy Bob' (which I want on my perma-Beginner) and the 'Cygnus Hair' (which would also go well with my Beginner's Cygnus outfit). As for standard hairs... eh, none of them really strike me as amazing, so I tend to not change my characters' hairstyles or faces unless I'm feeling really lucky; the only notable two I like are the 'Francesca' and the 'Aran (F)', but the rest are pretty crappy.

you gave up after 15k ? it took me like 11 tries to get madien weave, i had 47k end up with 29k ? i think. you shouldnt have switched to royal. shouldve kept exping til the end. you never know
Not a big fan of the royal hairs they have..
And I think those beauty coupons have a risk of making you look worse I'd try to get what you want.

Well for the time being I went ahead and did royal... and on the first try , I got uptown girl (I think is what it's called?) and decided to keep it lol. I'm gonna wait awhile before I try to exp again since I don't take wasting so much money lightly. D: Thanks everyone for your input! I've never gotten so many replies haha.
All star coupons gives no charm exp
When I wanted Evan hair - Took 1 coupon of EXP coupon.
[Bought all-star coupon for Android, then realized android can't use it. So, I used the all-star coupon.]

When I wanted Wild Tangles hair (current) - Took 10 coupons of All-Star (I think it was 10. It was $30 worth though)
[Quit my Cannon Master yesterday and finally started focusing on my Phantom.]
I prefer my Phantom's hair over any Royal.
Unless there are multiple hairs you want in the Royal cycle, then do EXP coupons.
TLDR:
Oh hey there. Just do EXP coupons.
Idk which is safer but I spent about 30k on this char's hair alone (pre BB). With Royal on the other hand, even if you don't get the hair you want on your first run, there are semi-decent hairs in the mix you can settle for if you're not that specific or until you can afford another massive run. Can't do that with EXPing in most towns. I once got stuck with bowl cut for 1 week from exping in Amoria iirc. I've never been a fan of Royals though. Maybe it's because by the time Royal Coupons came out, I've already EXP'd the crap out of my characters. Royal hairstyles are so common and cutesy (Henehoe-ish). I don't do cutesy tysvm .
first try for this hair on like 4 different characters.
Use the beauty coupon event either to get a good base (good hair color, eye color, skin, whatever), and work with that, or just find a good look with the coupons.
@pistolkiss: I'm glad that dreamcatcher hair hasnt been changed to vip like some of the other hairs like @mrsaigon hair. I spent around 67k nx for it, so worth it considering that i kept it and never changed it on my night walker <3
I learned the hard way to make sure I'll be content with at least 1/3 of the available hairstyles/eyes, especially when it comes to Royal/All-Stars.
48 tries for my hair. Then the guy next to me did it in 1...
You can wait for the beauty coupon event and get the hair you want from it, and then change eyes, skin colour and hair colour It's probably cheaper
But If you dont wanna wait for the event, I'd say Royal, because it's more rare and more unique C: But there's only one hair in royal that I actually like atm, so maybe you should just exp? :O I'd recommend Ludi (sonara wave and jean) or Orbis (Princess warrior and Short twin tails)

I spent around 120k getting sonara wave.. I have the worst luck and I don't stop until I get what I want
