Never made a Sin before, Help?

Well, I'm coming back to MS after a long Hiatus. I've left Bera, which I've played on for 4+ years, and started new at Nova because my sister irl plays there. I've only ever played the archer classes. I don't know why, I just preferred them. When I restarted in Nova, I made a CK because I figured I'd get bored with maple as I always do, but I got it to 120 in a couple weeks and now I've started another character. I didn't know which class to pick, but I've always wanted a Sin. However, they always seemed so complicated and I've never had much funding, so I was always too afraid. But I made it, and now I'm just confused. Guides I find are outdated. Friends are no help.

What confuses me most is the whole AP thing. Dexless, low dex, reg dex, high dex. I get the concept... less dex + more luk = better damage. But what is considered "dexless", low dex and all those things? I do want good/decent damage, but don't have much funding yet. How can I achieve this? I worry I've probably already ruined it, since I didn't know what I was doing. A friend told me I was very weak, but my dex is pretty low? I need help understanding how this class works. .__.

Seriously hoping for some helpful answers... I know I'm pretty out of the loop.

No, you can have good damage with reg dex, just not quite as good as lowdex/dexless people, because they will just have a little more luk than you.

That seems pretty hard... money wise. So is it impossible to have decent damage without funding and with having reg dex?

Exactly. For example, the empress thief equips require 170 dex to equip, so players with some serious funding would make it to that limit by scrolling all of their accessories with dex.

4 Base.
30 Physical Training Skill
10 Earring
5 Medal
2 Codex
24 Rings
22 HTP
22 CHTP (Second Pendant Slot)
5 Shoulder
10 Belt
5 Eyes
And it goes on from there.
Nowadays, Dexless is considered either 25 dex or 4 dex, based on whether or not you are a UA, or if you got an AP reset. Basically, the whole idea is to keep your dex as low as possible to get the most luk possible, so you get the biggest benefit from all your %luk gear. You make up all the dex from items (Rings, Pendant, Medal, Face Accessories, Earrings, the Physical Training Skill, etc etc...).
Oh... so you do want dex, just on items (accessories) and not your character itself? So you aren't supposed to add any dex, ever?
& I assume the accessories with dex is how you are able to wear things that require dex...
