i hope they are as fun as they look

I didn't fund my mercedes a lot because I really just saw it as a way to pass the time (was getting bored of other characters).
You don't need funding at all to have a blast. I was mowing down leafre monsters.

ok i guess ill try making one for the fun of it and if it really good ill try fuding it with the little i have

Mercedes get a whole lot more skills than Night Lords. (At least in my perspective)

I get to jump around, fire tons of arrows, and get good mob skills as well as bossing skills So fun and wide variety of moves. (They're flashy as well x))

So how much funding for a decent merc?

Not as bad. My mercedes has low range, like 10-15k fully buffed at 133 and because i messed up on 2nd job skills no final for me, but i wouldn't say they are really bad. Just, pathetic in a sort of way. Also Merc books dropped, and Ishtar 20 AND 30 went for as low as 5m and 15mil respectively in GAZED.

They actually are pretty weak..unless you fund them.
For me, at 172 with ~40/50% dex and a 182 att wep, I had a 54k range (buffed).
I was hitting 70-90k each line with Ishtar, which was pretty good.
Unfunded mercs do like..5k per line lal.

I can really see the fun aspect from just watching them play lol. But why does everyone say that they are really weak. Most of my characters are unfunded so yeah. How much funding would i need and does anyone have have any spare equips that i can buy in Scania(ill buy % LUK and DEX for my shad aswell) Also doesnt the revamp make a difference and were are merc in the DPS standings?

I reckon they're nice, with the 'combo' skills and somewhat catchy speed + style.

Mobbing on merc is descent, but its all combo skills, each with a different level of difficulty to pull off. Im 181, and still learning how to use the combos for mobbing.
Ishtar is just pure easy damage per second joy lol

They can mob but they lack mob damage.. so kinda sucky

Mercs are great mobbers. Ishtar's is also good for constant KB of bosses. They're highly mobile, with flashy skills and nice buffs. I like my merc.

They are very fun. I have a few.

IMO, Mercedes plays more like a thief than a bowman.

fun is personal preference, really. I didn't think they were amazing, but that's just me.

I like Mercs a lot.
Wait until the new patch because their damage is pretty low. (unless you're funded.) I think they're going to revamp mercs.

Nevertheless, their skills are really fun.

Well, I guess you can say Mercs are like Shade since with rising rush (idk, a bit far-fetched, but yeah) and they (merc) are one of the most mobile classes. So I'd say go for it.

But if you want mobbing, then you need have very good control over your merc, or else you just end up dying (since most of the mobbing combo goes : Rising Rush --> 2nd skill (usually moonsault) ---> A option : Leaf Tornado / B option : Stunning strikes / C option : Rising Rush again ----> Continue A option : (Stunning Strikes / 2nd continue A option : Rising rush again), and lots more...)

Or if you're lazy, just stun strike (hits 4 only though)

they require funding to be strong unlike revamped shads
