The 44 thread Part 2

Still Recruiting!
Spoilers abound!

[header]It's back. (Again).[/header]

Not by popular demand, but because I need more people to plan ahead. Go figure.

Since the original thread's conception somewhere in March of 2012, 44 has grown (see: spiralled out of control) to a well-rounded 180.5k as of writing, from the 400 word concept that started it all. If you've joined the community after the first thread died, and seen me post about "44" on the drk thread, this is what it is.

[header]What do you want this time, (gosh)?[/header]

I need a stronger antagonist cast and supporting (recurring) character cast, which is why I've put up this thread.

Once again, stuck it in the 44 section because I don't wander outside the forum much anymore.

[header]Existing Roles that need to be filled[/header]

Because I have some characters that mainly fill out a plot point, I'd prefer these characters to be filled first. Generally, personality traits described can be changed. There are no more official 'factions', so I'll be listing them as K.Cast (Kayla Cast, main protagonist's party), T.Cast (Thomas Cast, main antagonist's party, Corrupt-Council, etc.), B.Cast (Black Mage Cast, future antagonist), Neutral (Civilians, Neutral-Council, etc.)
[*] (T.Cast) Unnamed Outlaw: (Female) A femme-fatale type character; She's good looking, and she knows it. Originally worked as a hitman, but joined up with Thomas's cause after being recruited by Victor. May have a thing for him. Generally very snarky in disposition, arrogant and sly.
[*] (T.Cast) Natasha: (Female) Initially considered Neutral as a civilian with a way with words, she joined the main party to explore and follow the cause. Causes tension between existing bad relationships. Eventually reveals to be part of the opposition. Used to prove the point that not everyone stays good.

[*] (Neutral/T.Cast) Unnamed Ice Lightning Mage: (Male) Burns with enough vigor and malice to melt his own ice. (I'm kidding) A fiery-tempered man, hardened by the invasion of his hometown. Originally a mercenary who fancied Raen in a bar, but eventually joins Thomas's cause for unknown reasons.
[*] (Neutral/T.Cast) Unnamed Sniper: (Male) The man who wins it all. Smooth talker who occasionally negotiates on Thomas's behalf. Bit of a ladie's man.

[*] (Neutral) Unnamed Bishop: (Male) Head Bishop and Primary Healer of the guild Mystiques. Overbearing and obsessive, he's often avoided by most guild members. Has an uneccesary sense of grandeur, perhaps as a reaction to being less than well off in the past.
[header]Current Cast[/header]

K.Cast:
[*] Kayla Pennington: @Plusle4eva
[*] Lilienne Songbird: @CelyFaye
[*] Clyde: Darkspawn980
[*] Edgar Kanzaki: @SilentXynh
[*] John Michael O' Range: @cookie4mesos
[*] Phoebe Bennet: @iChosenDream
[*] Verge: @iVege
[*] Mirago Silvers: @Hiraku
[*] Raen Essent: @icephoenix21
[*] Natasha Meredith:

T.Cast:
[*] Thomas Pennington:
[*] Victor Lewton:
[*] Unnamed Outlaw:

[header]Plot[/header]

Actual Plot spoilers ahead

TBW sections still need to be filled out, but that's not the entire thing.
1. Songbirds (Lilienne) ARC: [Character Introduction] The arc introduces Lilienne to Kayla. As a lone wanderer occasionally taking jobs for money, Lilienne initially teams up with Kayla for only information on the clues left behind by Aaron and Dances with Balrog. After a conflict at the tailor that doubled as a lounge, Lilienne opts to help Kayla willingly on her side of the deal. They officially become partners at Elluel, where Lilienne discovers that she no longer had a home to return to. The two stay at Kerning for a few nights afterwards to celebrate their new partnership.

2. Power (Clyde) ARC: [Character Introduction]The arc introduces Clyde to the duo from the Lilienne ARC. Initially found drunk at a bar, Clyde manages to sober up enough during a raid to battle the guards chasing Kayla. Drawn to the undrunken power of the elf and warrior, who had outshone him that night, he follows them for a while, pestering them for a battle. During this time, a band of female warriors end up ambushing them, sent by Kayla's father on the theory that she wouldn't hurt her old classmates. Due to a moment of hesitation, Kayla is left vulnerable to attack, leaving them almost overwhelmed before Clyde intervenes. The women are rendered unable to fight, and to return the favour, Lilienne and Kayla agree to spar. The following fight results in a tie, with Clyde finally relishing the true beauty of a tough battle. He asks to join in hopes of finding more strong people to fight, and offers to help establish a makeshift base so they won't wander about as much.

3. Death By Midnight (Henesys) ARC: [Character Introduction] The arc introduces Edgar, Verge, John and Phoebe to the trio. Kayla remains on edge for having a base so close to Henesys, and as a result is highly suspicious of Lilienne who decides to drag her out to Henesys for no apparent reason. Having been locked out of using her Fairfrozen by her beholder after an argument, she settles for a weak sword that she used during her old training sessions. The two set off, Kayla discovering that her partner's intents were not ill-intended, just utterly useless, and loses the elf in a crowd. Knowing where she wanted to go, Kayla takes a shortcut only to see Lilienne facing off in a duel with a mysterious man. The two attack their opponent, who is recognised to be working for their enemy, but are ultimately defeated. Lilienne is left to drag herself back to camp, and Kayla is taken in for interrogation. After a week, Thomas finally introduces himself and a plot to kill Kayla, who cannot be killed as a rebel. Geki, Kayla and Lilienne's attacker, proves to have been blackmailed into the operation and decides to break her back out after Thomas's claim to destroy his hometown. Kayla realises that Geki, otherwise known as Edgar, is the older brother of her former partner Madeline, who also takes part in the planned escape but dies in the process. After a fight at the hall, leaving hundreds dead and even more injured, they escape back to base and plan what to do from there.

4. Golden Valleys (Perion) ARC: Having recovered over a number of days, Kayla wakes to a lively atmosphere within their base and discovers that more people have joined her cause. Collectively, it is decided that they should not stay in Victoria Island for any longer, and opt to take a visit to Perion before leaving, to pay their respects and to ensure that Dances with Balrog is aware of their position. After staying a night in an inn, they decide to go hunting to spend the afternoon. Ryan appears, filling them in on the events after the dance and offer to accompany them in their training. Trouble breaks out shortly after when Drakes swarm Phoebe, only to be further heckled when Victor arrives with a portion of Thomas's army. Escape is imminent, but Kayla loses more than she bargained for. With just below half of their group injured, they decide to stay the night at the Warrior's Sanctuary and leave the following day. During the night, Kayla speaks to Dances, and the two share a discussion with the Goddess statue in the Sanctuary. The day after, they resupply and leave by portal.

5. Fairytales (Ellinia) ARC: The party moves towards the Ellinian ports, now only serving to move cargo and imports from Orbis. They organise a midnight trip to Orbis and visit the Library, only to realise that many of the books had been removed. They decide to resupply and rest at a nearby inn before leaving on the ship.

6. Lion Hearts and Snow Queens (El Nath) ARC: The arc introduces Mirago and Raen to the group. During the trip, the ship is attacked by bandits and crashes into the mountain ranges of El Nath. Amidst the chaos, the party is split up and Phoebe is kidnapped. The next morning, Lilienne, John, Verge and Edgar are joined by Mirago, who decided to accompany them on a whim. Kayla laments her inability to keep her group together as she and Clyde try to figure out where the rest of her party would try to reach. After revisiting the crash site and hanging around for hours, they decide to move towards El Nath. Meanwhile, Edgar's group moves towards the mountains in an attempt to move to El Nath, but take a roundabout route through the mountains after encountering the same unit of bandits that had attacked them the night before and stay the night in a series of caves. There, Edgar mysteriously disappears into the night while Kayla meets a mysterious Bishop who is being targeted. Phoebe, having escaped, is caught once more, finally released when her place is replaced by a proud Edgar. She wanders into the wilderness with a dying warrior and a bitter man. TBW
[header]So what am I doing, again?[/header]

You're providing me with character to serve as antagonists and/or supporting characters. Include physical details, personality and a backstory. The period the story follows is pre-Black Mage.

[header]Template[/header]

To streamline this process, use the following:

Name: (Name, pretty self-explanatory)
Alias: (An alternate name used if the character is a mercenary/requires one)
Gender: (I hope I don't need to explain this)
Age: (Relevant to species, I guess... How long have they existed for)
Appearance: (What does this person look like?)
Personality: (What is this person's disposition like? How do they carry themselves? How would they react within this universe?)
Background: (What happened to this character to make them like this now? Where did they previously reside/currently reside?)
Miscellaneous: (Any additional information)

@OhLookaMage:
- I can appreciate that tidbit for character development, though I'm still not sure how that'll let me insert him into the story any better, which was the original point of my question (may have been rather roundabout so sorry for any confusion). A decreased presence, since I won't be writing from his perspective unless I have a direct purpose to doing so, is detrimental to a character to me since there's so much more about that person that makes them interesting to write about. And believe me I want to throw everyone in as much as possible, since it helps me practice a more dynamic style of writing.

- Is there any reason behind being compared to? Does he hold resentment towards those classes?

(- yes it was, but the point was answering with it :c the joke is ruined!)

@Plusle4eva: Cookie's got some tests and stuff that he has to get over first.

Our idea of him is that he is a character that people want to like, despite him being in Thomas' faction. We want to keep his volatile and malicious nature, but we want to use it to our advantage by having him direct a lot of that energy towards Thomas and his cronies. We're thinking about being sympathetic towards the helpless, but no one sees that, even at the end of his life (if he's going to die).
Don't really post much on basil but I lurk. Anyway I thought this was interesting so here is a random if ya want.

Name: Licht Karmesin
Alias:
Gender: Male
Age: 23
Appearance: Medium length blond hair. Gray eyes that makes him look like a trickster. Average height wearing black/red mage robes and hat styled in the form of the Blue Czar and Reverse Coral.
Personality: Lazy with a short temper and tends to keep to himself. Would try to ignore either group if he's out hunting but if pestered enough will listen to what they want. Depending on what they want from him he will tell them to get lost or help them, so long as he gets compensation for the work.
Background: Originally from Kerning City, he went to Ellina to learn magic. He studied the path of a fire/poison mage because he was a pyro when he was younger. After becoming a skilled mage he left Ellina to travel the world making money by doing jobs for others. He would often be asked to carry out assassinations because of his skill with the poison half of his magic. Licht would decline all of these types of jobs and now tries to avoid unnecessary contact with others because of the requests.
Miscellaneous: Has a habit of casting explosion when angry.
Thanks for your submission! I need to throw this on a file somewhere... /look how unorganised I am

A few questions/areas to be clarified which would be great if you could change yourself (until I have a proper feel of this character, and until I can 'support' this character, I'd rather the contributor work on it):
- What makes Licht so important that he can ignore either party? What particular set of skills, aside from power, which both sides already have, that he could offer that would attract either party to them? Kayla's party does not necessarily value power, but loyalty as anyone who joins essentially joins until they're all dead.
- What made him a pyro? How does this affect his 'lazy' personality?
- What motivates Licht? What would make him particularly angry? What would upset him?

(- what does the scouter say about his explosion power? )

Well seeing as I'm pretty much in a sea of due assignments and cumulative finals, drowning , not bobbing would be the appropriate term. Sorry about the nonsensical babble I've been studying for a good 12 hours, and I'm really frazzled.

I love making characters I'll do it more often, if that's the case. I suppose I could just throw a bunch at you and let you decide what is appropriate, and what is sheets.

@Celyfaye: The way you're wording it makes me imagine you're bobbing around in a lake ._. Good luck with your finals!

Jenny, if there is anything I don't like it's that you're not involved more! I absolutely adore a fresh perspective, moreso if it's from someone who more or less is acquainted with the characters~ I'm accepting any characters, really; the roles I needed to fill are for future plot-related stuff, which is why I would have preferred them to be filled first.

D: I constantly forget to update it in dropbox >.< The reason why it disappeared was because I moved it to the old versions of 44 folder and forgot to replace it in the work folder... I've updated it now with the latest version.

> wait till it's all finished

Ugh, can't stay away from the crazies in 44.

Thank goodness you liked the characters x_x I was so worried you wouldn't. I'm especially happy that you're not opposed to Canni! I didn't know if you would accept characters other than the ones whose roles you needed to fill.
Hnnnnnnggggggggg I'm so excited to see what you come up with. I was following your story in Dropbox, up until it disappeared, but I suppose the best thing for a non-critic like me to do is to wait till it's all finished.

@Deviched: Lady, you know I would turn 44 to a reverse harem if given the audience. The best alternative is to provide it with bishonen, bishonen everywhere

@Celyfaye: ...

... you're alive

I love the characters. Natasha's got the desire, drive and means to achieve it which is awesome. And Canni sounds adorable @_@ I'll copy what you've got and chuck it into the 44 folder.

"Lilienne watches with approval" For some reason, I lost it for a good 5-10 minutes there. Glorious.

I dunno about eating a companion, but never underestimate the utility of a large demon crobat-bird hybrid I'll find a use for her Given her clothing, I'm thinking for her to be either introduced in El Nath or during Aquarium. I've never envisioned Ludi to be cold by any means, so yeah.

Don't laugh.

Name: Natasha Meredith
Alias: The (whatever colorful word Lilienne deems appropriate for the moment), Natto (given by John because of Natasha, and her something-smells-fishy and slimy personality)
Gender: Female
Age: 25
Appearance: Short but athletic, with choppy brown hair. Rosy lips, sun-browned skin with a dash of freckles and brilliantly white teeth. Eyes are cold and grey.
Personality: Highly intelligent, sociable and easily amused. Seems to laugh loudly at the smallest things. She is constantly close to Kayla, acting as her PA. Her cunning intelligence proves to be extremely useful, as Kayla finds out. She is able to make supplies appear out of nowhere, and land great deals on hard-to-find potions. Extremely good at finding ways to rile up Lilienne (loudly admiring Clyde's extremely large polearm, attempting to get close to John, causing Edgar to be in the wrong place at the wrong time). They hone her fighting ability and discover that she is incredibly adept at using all types of weaponry.
Background: As the youngest in a well-to-do family, Natasha was constantly overshadowed by her older siblings, despite being gifted in almost every aspect. Her highly independent spirit drives her to go out and seek a living on her own. She is extremely successful, and at the age of 20, already has a thriving smuggling business going. Her abilities are secretly tested by Thomas, and when she passes, she and Thomas develop a close working relationship, as he becomes her regular customer. A few years into the business, Thomas promises her wealth and power beyond her wildest dreams if she smuggles just one more more thing for him - valuable information regarding Kayla's little group. Having always felt invisible growing up, Natasha eagerly snags the opportunity. She has an "accidental" meeting with Kayla, who is seeking spear/ polearm building materials (not sure what to put here), and ends up impressing Kayla by providing her with materials that were, according to Clyde, practically nonexistent.
. .
. Lilienne becomes violent towards Natasha when he sees her desperately rummaging through Kayla's belongings, when time is running out for her big paycheck. Seizes her by the neck and interrogates her. Is about to kill her by slicing off her head, before Kayla walks in on the scene.

Filler idk
Name: Canni or Nibble (cannibal). Depends on who is calling her.
Alias: None
Gender: Female
Age: 7
Appearance: Tiny and stick-thin, with large auburn eyes and feathery-looking black hair. Sharp, white teeth. Black markings on cheeks and forehead (like Mastema). Clothed in a large, over-sized winter cloak provided by John, who seemingly pulled it out from nowhere upon seeing thin, shivering girl. Nearly loses hand in process of dressing her.
Personality: Fearless in a naive manner. Refuses to leave Clyde's side, and bites anyone who tries to take her away from him. Usually pretends to not understand English, except when something that is said is important to her, to which she will respond by chirping or running off to perform whatever task is asked of her.
Background: After a skirmish with Thomas' troops, Nibble is found in their supply wagon, in a cage. Clyde rips open the cage with his bare hands in front of an unimpressed Lilienne, and removes the bag upon Nibble's head. Nibble sets her eyes on Clyde, pauses, then chirps happily. She leaps into Clyde's arms. Clyde is unamused, and takes her out of the wagon to show his finding to Kayla and the others. Upon seeing a dead body on the ground, Nibble leaps out of Clyde's arms and onto the corpse, then begins ravenously tearing apart its flesh with her teeth. Lilienne watches with approval, and Clyde roars with laughter and decides to keep her. Don't know how this would fit in, but Nibble's final form is a gigantic, four-winged, black demon bird (perhaps the group gets hungry one day and decides to have a really big dinner).

Zer's still stuck in the Isle of Ascension, though, so I'm a bit ticked off by that. The scene in question is actually really far in; probably closer to the end than the beginning. I'll see if I can find it, but it was the first death that I read and thought, "wow, so he's really killed him off", which is probably why it stuck with me so much. That and Ascion is a bloody genius.
Actually, that wouldn't fit since the phonetic pronunciation would be "fee", or fi. So unless she wants to be Flourine and Iodine...

Eh? Is the 'I' pronounced like a long 'e'? I think flourine-helium would be more phonetically fitting, unless I'm way off on how they're supposed to be pronounced.

When I see Goldilocks, my thought process goes: RWBY > Yang > Yellow > Pokemon...

Oh God, oh God- theme song alert! link
Ignore the religious subtext and... that unintentional wordplay on my part... and I think that song is really fitting for John, his conflicts, and his relationships with the other characters, Phoebe in particular.

Not a song, but, also this.
I actually really wanted something like Ascion's death from RoTA; John'd have something everyone else really needs, they're looking for him, he passes it on to Pheebs before he hurks and dies off, but they only realise it after his death. Which makes them sadder. Because he knew he was gonna die.
Wait... I'm sorry, who? I do like the thought of that, though.
the sequel is several decades away, and the only link between the two is the legacy, carried by ImCensored's character, who I've decided will be an immortal, mysterious green man.
So, he'd be kind of like Yoda?

@iVege: 44-wise, no. The process of obtaining beholder was that it was a DK's partner, died in battle and was physically fought back during the 4th job advancement and absorbed into the Drk's body.

If you mean once the dark knight dies, the beholder ceases to exist since it no longer has a mana source to use. It wouldn't be able to use another person since they didn't fight for it and are incompatible. At a stretch, it might be able to 'borrow' another drk, but then it'd be a clash of the beholders.

Well. in MS you can still Snipe with a bow. and that's kind of their most "fancy" skill.

but ofc they have no bow mastery/expert.

@icedemon9: Well you're in luck; I'm not including eunwol because I'd accidentally merge him with edgar! ... wait a minute.... yeah no

You can use blue as the drk's berserk colours; we already have Cyan (John) and Cerulean (Kayla) taken, though. On top of that, Stella always struck me as more of a yellow name o-o

marksmen are supposed to be able to wield a bow perfectly

they just can't do fancy stuff with it

@Pulpit: RED will be exclusively dealt with in the sequel

I've been trying to post this for a while... It hasn't worked >.<

The nature of this story is to provide background information to fill the transition between the Dragon Knight and the Dark Knight (with minimum Batman references as possible). The RED update will be the last maple-wise patch that I will be considering, whose full effects will be explored further in the sequel. As the story is dated pre-Black Mage, I acknowledge that there will be significant inconsistencies with the canon Maple storyline (in general, actually), which is why this story should be considered non-canon to the Maple storyline and characters. The only current relationships between the game and the story are NPC appearances and names, as well as item and skill names.

The following information are targeted to the viewers, and are not completely known to the characters within the story.

Regarding Dark Knights within the 44 Universe
It is important to note that all 44 Dark Knights are categorized through a set number of pre-existing criterion, all of which must be met
1) The Dark Knight's Dragon companion dies, evoking emotional stress
2) The Dark Knight has undertaken their 4th Job Advancement and have successfully recovered their Dragon's soul
3) The Dark Knight will have shorter lifespans as agreed to by the Elder Dragon. This usually means that the Beholder has a direct influence over the Dark Knight's death.
4) The Dark Knight's death is pre-determined by their Beholder, who will ultimately kill them.
Regarding Weapon Specialisations
Within the 44 universe, characters with sufficient battle experience as advised by an Elder will have the option to take a secondary specialisation in different weapons. This weapon specialisation will not be half as skilled as their primary weapon. The following exceptions:
1) Mage weapons can only be weilded by Mages, and to an extent, Paladins.
2) Energy produced by Paladins can be channelled through a wand, though this power will be weak and unstable.
Conditions

Just like the previous thread, I have a few general rules:

1) No furries: Furries are human/humanoid creatures that typically have animal features such as ears and tails. I have nothing against them FTR, they just don't exist in the universe. I find it incredibly pointless as it doesn't explore that type and as such have never (and will not ever) consider/ed it.
2) No Class Hybrids: Class Hybrids are characters who possess multiple representations of different classes where the character is an expert in both classes (maple-wise, this could be a Buccaneer with Bowmaster abilities, for example, or a Mage able to weild heavy swords, a Thief able to use elemental magic, etc). I do not allow characters to be class hybrids due to the fact that it's basically OP and often unreasonable with other characteristics of that person. This includes branch hybrids, which are characters that possess multiple representations of different sub classes within the general branch (a marksman capable of weilding a bow perfectly, for example). The workaround for this are weapon specialisations, which are detailed below.
3) No Mary-Sue/Gary-Stu Characters: A Mary-Sue is a female character with 'unique', identifying characteristics that essentially make the character "too perfect". No folks, being clumsy/ditzy/air-headed is often not a flaw if it's the only one that character has. Gary-Stus are the male equivalent.

I used to read that while I was preparing for my exams, so I'm really curious as to how far it has advanced since then. Any chance that I can have a look at that sample piece again?

Just an idea to contribute:

Considering that there will be a free advancement system in the RED update, I wonder if it would be possible to incorporate this into the story post-Black Mage. Like an antagonist Drk who works as a mercenary in the hopes of gaining enough money to change to a more... legitimate class one day. He tries to keep his current class under wraps by hiding his Fuscina in the guise of a Nagamaki through an anvil or his Beholder's ability (since it is the closest thing to looking like a sword but still a spear). However, since he will be caught the moment he tries to register for the class change, he strikes a deal with Thomas in exchange for anonymity.

He gets horribly betrayed in the end.

Perhaps a single egg was saved by the dark mage's army then? Then again, that's a bit cliche = = I'll try to think of something that'll fit the skeletons you gave us
I know we're trying to keep things as realistic as possible, but I do like throwing out crazy ideas Impossible for 44, plausible for sequel. Genetically engineered is a big issue, though; while I am trying to stick within more realistic terms, I don't want things getting anymore technical than needed.
But.....it'll be crazy interesting.

And it's extra sad because you explicitly said you loved me in your last post.
Why would I not love you if I explicitly said I loved you?

@Cookie4mesos:
There's a twelve year old going to my college.
well, none of that nonsense in 44! :U Seriously, that kid is amazing. Go hug him for me.

Actually, don't. That'd be weird.

"some chick on the internet told me to hug you"
"wtf"
OH MY GOD, I JUST REALIZED- NICKNAME FOR PHOEBE: IRON.
Actually, that wouldn't fit since the phonetic pronunciation would be "fee", or fi. So unless she wants to be Flourine and Iodine...

She'd be better off as the golden ratio, but even that's pronounced differently. She could be goldilocks!
"Live on for me. Let me continue to see the world through your eyes. [Insert other cliches here.] I love you."
*Coughhackwheezecough.*
I actually really wanted something like Ascion's death from RoTA; John'd have something everyone else really needs, they're looking for him, he passes it on to Pheebs before he hurks and dies off, but they only realise it after his death. Which makes them sadder. Because he knew he was gonna die.

@iChosenDream:
Nooooo! I'm the youngest. I'm supposed to be the one who carries on the... err... secrets of our kind?
the sequel is several decades away, and the only link between the two is the legacy, carried by ImCensored's character, who I've decided will be an immortal, mysterious green man.

@iVege @icephoenix21 @Celyfaye

you guys are awesome.

And @Celyfaye, HOLY GUFF YOU'RE HERE! :OOOOO
@iChosenDream: Like cookie said, she's 15/16 at the start of the prequel.

12 year olds are unadventurous to write about, especially considering that at the grand ol' age of 12 you don't really achieve much in life. 44-wise, you'd be barely touching a training sword (unless yer speshul)

cookies4mesos: She would actually be closer to 18/19 by the end of the series. I actually haven't planned Pheeb's death yet. Interestingly, I've actually been seeing her in post-war 5 years later scenes, but if iCD is hellbent on her character dying, by all means. I can always squish another one during the war. I might bring Lilienne back if that's the case.
There's a twelve year old going to my college.
Also, as my history professor said regarding that guy who figured out one of those Native American languages or something at 17 (augh, the details escape me at the moment), "Don't you hate the little bastard?"

Noted.

OH MY GOD, I JUST REALIZED- NICKNAME FOR PHOEBE: IRON.
and no, it won't be the return of the idot, because the idot never existed.
The idiot did, though.
Depends on the user, since if they're already considered fast (see: Lilienne), they would get even faster. I've explained it as it increases speed in proportion to how fast that person is without the skill. So Kayla using Slipstream won't match Lilienne using Slipstream, but would beat Clyde using Slipstream, if that makes sense.
Considering that (unless it's changed since I last knew) your speed and jump stats affect the effectiveness of Slipstream, this makes sense.

[quote=Plusle4eva Was skimming your post and read that, and was like well ok o w o I can get behind that, even if I have to change it

Then I read it again :c
Lol'd.
I THOUGHT OF A JOHN JOKE! "... So do you sell Clemonade?" (When life gives you lemons, make lemonade d) YOU'RE IN
'Eeyyy, I have a citrus buddy! ...Actually, that makes sense considering our ethnic backgrounds. Enter: Citrusshipping. Drawing pending.
Also, Obligatory.

John-given nicknames:
-Clemon[ade] (obligatory- jeez, everyone's some form of food or drink, except Kayla, interestingly)
-Koyomi / Karen (Maris -> Mari -> Marie -> Marie Calendars -> Calendar -> Koyomi / Karen... yeah...)
-Stars[y] (Stella -> constellation -> stars)

VergexStella -> Verge&Marishipping (read: Virgin Mary)
