RAM Help please

Hello.

So yesterday morning I turned on my computer and the PC lighted up however, my monitor and the "boot up sound" didn't go on. I tried restarting several times and nothing happened.

I built my computer so I cracked it open and could hopefully see what the problem was. First thing I see is the MemOK light on. So I thought my RAM was busted. (Was running 2x2 and 2x4). Played between the sticks and kept getting error. So I ran to the store and picked up two new ram sticks. Put them in and same problem (now returning them).

Now I started to play with the sticks even more so. The only time it works if it ONE of the sticks is in b2 (if another one is in B1 it loads but only recognizes the memory in B2). If I put just one in a1,a2,b1 it will not work and MemOK light will go on with beeping sound: one long, two short. If I put all the ram sticks in then it's just the memOk light.

When I say the only time it works, I mean the only time the Memok light doesn't go on and the computer fully boots is if I have one stick in b2 (with or without one in b2). If I put the second one in a1 or a2, it won't work.

I have also updated the bios and nothing has happened.
Is it safe to assume my motherboard died?
Specs:
2011 build
AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 955 Processor (4 CPUs), ~3.2GHz, AMD Radeon HD 6770, Western digital 500gb Asus M5A87, Corsair Builder Series CX500 V2

EDIT: When I put ram into the only working slot B2, and put another one into B1. Computer works but the RAM recognized is the one in only B2
