I like both the Light Novels and the Anime. I'm happy with the anime since it's getting its own Weiss Schwarz set Episode 14 should be coming out some time today.

It has 25 episodes. Supposedly SAO stops at episode 14/15 and ALO starts in 15/16 depending on how fast the creators finish up SAO.
Secondly, while Sword Art Online itself is amazing, the light novels are far better only because...when creating a movie, anime, show, etc. parts are always going to be cut out. You can read the light novel on Baka-Tsuki and I THINK it's finished. They had SAO, ALO, GGO, and Mother's Rosario all translated.

There's only 13 episodes, and the 14th is released today (so excited! ^.^) it ends at like 17 episodes I think, bc that's where wikipedia stops it
