Win7? An assumption

Ok I've looking around a lot of threads and obviously people on Windows 7 are having issues.
I have 7 myself on my laptop and it gives me absolute.
Funnily enough 7 on PC is fine.
What I've deduced is it's to do with the versions.
Not just with 32-bit or 64-bit, but with HP vs. Ultimate.
So let's see if my hypothesis is correct based on what I've heard and experienced.
I think Maple works fine on Win7 32-bit HP and Ultimate
It works fine on 64-bit Ultimate
The issue is 64-bit HP...I think!
Maybe I'm wrong.
People on 7 tell me what you think.

Edit: I don't mean random dcs as well. I blame my ISP for dcs. I'm talking about things like graphic crashes and dcing say EXACTLY as you enter/exit a PQ or boss and it's always at that particular point or when a boss body is summoned
Also what graphics card are people on? ATI? NVIDIA? Integrated Intel chipset?
My laptop that has Win7 MS crash issues is on an NVIDIA...

64bit HP here and I have no d/c problems other than PC-related issues (my virus protection program likes to scan at inappropriate times). Well...I can't say never. This last patch has given me problems up until the last SC.

I have no namebrand (just the generic factory model) graphics card and it's a laptop made by Dell.

Im completely clueless with technology, how do you check how much "bit" the computer has. :o
Also, I don't normally d/c, even when bossing. My laptop is a Sony Vaio, Intel Pentium (at least that's what the sticker saids)

It is a problem with GMS, I also play KMS since a couple of weeks and I never d/c there. I play iton the same computer as I play GMS.
GMS= frequent crashes.
KMS= yay I can play!

I think this will be fixed with the BB. this is a great oppurtunity for Nexon to completely restore eveything in the game, since they are reprogramming everything anyway.

@Puriie: Exactly, lol. I remember some guy on basil saying he was driving up to the Nexon America HQ to rant at them in person and that the receptionists were even worse than the online ticket system. It's as if they have their hearts set on screwing us over. T_T Anyways, good luck with mapling on your PC, here's hoping you don't get the same issues on that.

@ashje: yeh. I stopped Mapling on my laptop.
Stupid Nexon, as if they don't have the money for it, the amount of money we spent on NX

@Puriie: Lol, I seem to get the lag every now and then as well. I'm training and suddenly it freezes up for a sec and the monsters don't spawn for a while, or the existing ones stay in the same spot but still keep their "moving" animations. Not quite sure what lag he is experiencing, he didn't specify. Anyways, until Nexon makes this game compatible I suppose we'll just have to deal with the issues. There isn't much we can actually do.

EDIT: Hmm, come to think of it I also experience a few graphics issues outside of the game. After I quit maple or alt-tab out of it, if Firefox is the next active window, every image on the screen goes black. It stays like that, stubbornly not returning to it's previous state when I refresh the page, or even after I end the process and restart Firefox. What's even more annoying is that this 'disease' also seems to spread to other webpages and it messes around with the images on them too. It stays for a while and then eventually just disappears. Another issue I experience, though I must note that it's extremely rare, is as follows; when I level up I Alt-Tab to Firefox to check my Skill Build. Once I know what to put my points into, when I go to Alt-Tab back to MapleStory, the whole screen flashes black for about 3 seconds then flashes Firefox for about 3 seconds and so on and so on. I can call Task Manager while this happens but can only view it during the Firefox flash. My fix for it is to Ctrl-Alt-Del (the screen for this works, it doesn't flash black) and log out of my computer then log back in. Maybe it might work for you and your graphics issues? Also, what do you use? ATI or NVIDIA? Lol, I really hope we can figure out a way to fix this issue.
@Chaud: Like I said, my internet isn't the issue, Maple ran perfectly when I had XP, my brother still has XP and it works perfectly for him. Only after a recent upgrade to 7 did issues begin to emerge with Maple. Her hypothesis stated that Maple worked fine with Windows 7 32-Bit, this is wrong considering I am experiencing issues. My friend also uses 32-Bit Windows 7 and he has the same issues of random d/cing and the odd bout of lag. I D/C whenever I go on a boss run, mostly as soon as I enter but sometimes just as the boss dies. The nigh consistency of these d/cs has me convinced that an incompatibility with 7 is to blame, as I never experienced this with XP. xdnaruto is right in saying that HP and Ultimate are irrelevant to these issues. It seems that MapleStory just wasn't designed to run on Windows 7 or Vista (which, may I note, is a complete disaster of an operating system anyway). It was made for XP and hasn't been fixed to run with 7 or Vista. Now what other variables, pray tell, are there that I should consider?
Lol ok chill mate I get you. But yes doesn't everybody know that MS isn't meant to be played on 7? When you open MS on 7 it auto-opens in compatibility mode.
The odd bout of lag could be his computer, his net or Nexon depending. If everybody lags then it's Nexon obviously. If it's monster lag/no spawn then it's Nexon too. Pick up lag is your net/computer.

Mmm yeah my PC gets the lag (Ultimate) but seriously my laptop is just horrendous. The graphics crashes not only stop me from playing Maple but anything that requires GPU power gets stuffed e.g. after a graphics crash where my Maple goes black and starts flashing green lines I'll close it. My themes go to Win7 basic and aeropeek can't be turned back on. YouTube vids and any other online streaming vids go completey green or are extremely pixelated. WMP/GOM/other video watching software gets stuffed up graphics.

@Puriie: I suppose some have it worse than others. o.o I do lag every now and then, but I've never had a complete graphics crash like the one you described in your other thread. I'm using ATI Catalyst currently.

I am using a Nvidea graphics card.

You can't blame your ISP for DCs.

You're not loosing connection to their server. It's Nexon to blame.

BTW all of that is wrong unfortunately.
i have win 7 and its fine most of the time but sometimes i just randomly d/c
Think it maybe your bet?
What version of 7 are you on? And 32-bit or 64-bit?

@ashje: hrmm really? :X interesting. I notice I randomly dc sometimes on my Ultimate but it's no biggie. Not like on HP where my graphics actually crash and I have to restart my laptop.
@Chaud: haha thanks. And yeah I'm thinking one of the major other things to consider is the graphics card - NVIDIA or ATI
@xdnaruto: mmm yes I think everybody's figured that out. It's Nexon's fault that they haven't created a bloody cross-platform game =='
@BBD: sorry I can't help with Vista...that's like the worst OS...I skipped over that one ):

@Puriie: I don't think so, I only just recently upgraded to 7 and I never experienced any issues on XP.

Nope my laptop's 64-bit HP and I can't Maple.
64-bit Ultimate is fine. Other people I know are on Ultimate 64-bit and it's cool.
@ashje: maybe the random dcs are your net?

I dont think so, maybe the problem is with ultimat. I run a 64-bit Win7 HP and works perfectly fine, never lagged/dced etc. Even at times I was afk for over a day with a store i didn't dc.

I have 32-Bit HP Windows 7 yet I still randomly d/c, particularly in BPQ. Sorry, but I believe your hypothesis is wrong.
