How to do 4th job adv if you cant kill?
I'm trying to help my party member w/ his 4th job adv but he's a weak bishop who can't kill either manon or griff. Is there a way to get me in there too? I mean, weak bishops have to adv somehow right?

@Quaisy2: Man, times have changed.
I had to scout for a Manon because Heros were always farming them.
It took me one try each on my bishop.
It's very simple. Just teleport into Griffey/Manon and continuously take touch damage. drive him to a corner slowly and attack him while taking touch damage. They cannot stun/dispel/1/1 you if they are dealing touch damage, so you're safe.
At the end of it all, I used around 100 ginger ales. I did not fund my bishop at all because it's an HS mule.
@yumtoast154: If you're doing the 4th job advancement you get sent to a map that (i think) always has a Manon/Griff that only you can be in. If someone else is doing the 4th job adv they wont be allowed to enter, and if you're not doing adv then you go to the regular maps that have spawn timers.

I told him to try teleporting, using holy arrow and everything but he says he's tried and he can't do it. Oh well.

So to sum up everything, the secret spell scroll has been removed and you must solo manon/griffey now (takes you to a separate room).
I suggest taking the advice of angelmystix or PashySpirit
Well what i did was always use holy shield when the cool down wore off and used holy arrow most of the time to keep my distance away from it.
The scroll option has been removed.
I managed to solo both before for my weak priest's 4th job advancement. The key is to pay attention to your buffs. Magic guard gone = 1HKO
Tell your friend to tele back and forth repeatedly to better avoid dispels and 1/1's.

i heard it has to be solo but dont take my word (this is very similar to 3rd job) shrug
