Haha I missed Beast Tamers first release by one day. And considering that class would be the one I would main for my entire Maple career, I got a little salty. Ever since, all I have been doing was getting gear and stuff ready for my future BT. And it's pretty obvious the developers didn't intend for two trees to be fully maxed. They probably intended for each tree to be used for its most important skills, something that I will be doing.
And yeah, I would've loved to play and be friends with an actual Beast Tamer main like you, and not with a lot of the bandwagoners who will quit it after a month. Sad that you're on Zenith.

@Sabspirit: Funny story, i've actually waited over a a year to make another Beast Tamer because I hate the name i gave my first one.... I can finally move onto playing the class long term now xD

What you said is exactly how I picture the developers wanting BT to be played. No mode should be considered useless as they all have slight perks to benefit almost every situation out there. Sucks that you're all the way in Scania. Would have loved to play/train with you xD

The buff to Beast Tamers wasn't absolutely amazing, and they'll still be under-par to a majority of the classes. All of my friends are only making a BT for its link skill or critical ring, they're going to all drop it at about 130. I'm expecting BT to become a rarely seen class in a few months again XD, once the bandwagon dies down. Anyway about hawk's rapid fire skill, it definitely has lower hits per second then the regular rapid fire skill. A damage increase to it would be amazing. Maybe baby bombers could be turned into a final attack for it? But I do find a use for hawk. When I need to get somewhere I'll switch to hawk. If a new area comes out and I'm going to explore it with friends, I'll switch to hawk. The mystic door skills and buffs that hawk has are also pretty useful. I personally find hawk to be more useful than leopard late game, but with mechanical grave having really large maps and having a lot of platforms in its maps, leopard might just find a use late game for training in mechanical grave. I'm planning on having some leopard skills just for this reason, so I guess you could say I'm using all animals in certain situations.

Sorry for this wall of text.. BT is my absolute favorite class and a lot of people say I'm really obsessed with it haha

After playing around on my Beast Tamer last night, i'm so conflicted on hawk mode. It has a somewhat mini rapid fire skill so to speak, but its an absolute garbage mode. With % increases I want to say it could be great, just without all the attacking perks of bear mode.

Since I'm maining Beast Tamer (4life), I'm going with the bear and cat skill build. However, there are some skills in bear and cat's tree that don't necessarily need to be maxed, so that allows me to put the remainder of the skill points into hawk's utility skills. Yeah I'm sort of obsessed with this class and am waiting for every minute to pass by for the maintenance. <3

@drag0onboy: Its just such an under represented class. I dont even think we have a member on the new council chosen yet.

I wouldn't recommend hawk, it is great for party support in buffs and teleport but the damage is horrible if you plan of training/bossing with it.

Thanks . Hopefully there will be other beast tamer youtubers besides me.

If your only planning on achieving the link, do a mix of bear and leopard. I would personally start pumping points into leopard first as the high mobility early on is really helpful. Later on when you start doing PQ's like RnJ make sure you have points in the bear skills Furious Strikes (I believe it hits both platforms, don't quote me on it though), Majestic Trumpet and so on.

Also Acer, I found your YouTube It was nice seeing informative Beast Tamer videos.

im atleast doing it for link but idk if i want to get it higher leopard looks like a lot of fun so i def want leopard. also is hawk just bad i see no one using it

Are you going to main it or just get it up to 120 or 210 for link/character card? If main bear and cat, link/character card mule either bear and leopard or if your gonna be lazy and leech your levels late game (bear or leopard) and cat.
