what is going on here
Somehow my account password was changed. I may have been hacked, I dont know. My email password was simultaneously changed leading me to believe this . regardless I have now recovered my email and wish to access my maplestory account BUT the confirmation email isnt going through. No spam, nothing in the inbox... nothing. Also all my emails from nexon that I had in the account previously have dissapeared... its as if I never signed up to maplestory using that email. My characters are still on the rankings however. I have no idea what is going on anyone have any ideas?
p.s. no friends no about this email or about my playing this game and i very rarely access the email so i doubt it was hacked by a friend. I'm pretty good about staying away from sketchy stuff on the internet so i doubt it was a keylogger... honestly im not sure if i even got hacked thats what i want to see. but without the password recovery email i cant get my account online. As far as i know im not banned.... BUT if its worth mentioning i afk'd in old Heny (the one only accessible via tele rock) to avoid people and get over the fevor (last time i played was almost a month ago). since then this stuff has all happened

I think it is a big chance that you got hacked since you mentioned your account password and e-mail being changed.
But with Nexon's lousy work, who knows, it might just be an error.
I wish you luck on finding out the reason.

We can change our e-mail address since Chaos Patch. They changed/updated their site that time. As owner you need access to your Nexon account and e-mail account in order to be able to change your e-mail address. If you are using any e-mail services that may expire because you were unactive, anyone can take over that e-mail account. They will have the ability to change to any other e-mail as well if they took over your account already.
nexon claims you cant change your email associated with your account. i just looked into the issue and others seem to be having similar issues but without the additional email account problems. i think they may be unrelated and thus a coincidence.

Maybe it is the wrong e-mail address or if you got hacked, the hacker probably changed it to another e-mail.
I think you hacked yourself.
