Anyone else having massive town lag, dcing?
Every major town is basically a death trap for me. I spawn into hene, and have 0.2 fps. I have about 2 minutes from the time that I log in to get out of the town somehow, or I freeze entirely and dc.
So after a while I got the brains to hold down the "left" key and spam up. I was like "FREE AT LEAST! <3". I took one step into Ellinia and immediately froze, then dc'ed.
I'm completely fine in regular maps, but major towns are killer o.o
This is getting ridiculous. First of all, I take at LEAST 8 minutes to even load up the login screen. Now I can't even go anywhere, because all the dimensional portals are in towns. So I'm stuck killing green mushrooms.
Anyone else experiencing this / have any idea how to fix this?

I think it affects random players at random times because around a year ago I had the worst lag and so did a lot of other people but ever since around the Tempest patch (I think a little before but I know that patch for sure) the town lag went down to a more normal and acceptable amount again. I couldn't find a solution for it and it is definitely [b] NOT [/b] your computer. Hopefully someone will have a solution for you but the best thing I can say is to just wade it out and hope it goes away soon. GL
Town lag on my laptop.. eventually I crash.
Yeah, I have major town lag too. I can't even go to any other town except Aquarium (Cassandra, Gaga and Maple Admin not in that town directly). I realize that it's probably my graphic card or something and I'm getting a new laptop soon to solve this problem.

@DivineRikku It's not DIRECTLY caused by computer specs but something in towns is causing certain computers (probably because of a certain type of graphics card) to explode when we enter towns
My laptop is really good and I still have this issue on it. My internet is very fast too.
It's actually LESS worse on my crappy desktop...

My wireless internet is fine, I can watch youtube vids in 720p without any problems. I'm on Windows 7, if that helps at all.
I'm pretty sure it's not my comp, because I have plenty of free disk space, just defrag'd my drive, and can run Starcraft 2 on regular settings without lag.

Is your internet having issues lately, are you using any kind of wireless connection or something like that?
