Custom Pirate Hero Class; Revised.

edit: give me a minute to clean this mess of words up

Hello! A few server maintenances' ago.. I was bored and decided to type out an idea I had for a custom pirate hero class. I posted it and got a lot of comments and great ideas from other basilers. Once again it's a server maintenance and I decided to revise it. It's my dream class, so I hope you like it. I'd die of happiness if it were implemented, haha.

Whether the pirate Hero's name is or is not Utan, I don't know (I heard of other names), but I'll just use Utan for his name for now.

[header]Story of Utan[/header]
This is the story of Utan, the Pirate Hero of the Maple World. Before the uniting of the Maple World in response to fight the Black Mage, there was a famous pirate. He had escaped prison twice before, but upon his third capture, his penalty was a life time in jail, the same as his previous two, but also the loss of his hands. His pirate crew intervened on the day where his hands were to be severed, and saved him, however not before his left hand was already taken. Utan had his blacksmith forge him a new weapon that would be able to replace his left arm and still be able to wield a knuckle on it. The blacksmith created him a steel arm that had all the abilities of Utan's missing arm and more. It was stronger and had the ability to shoot out his metal hand (which stayed attached to his arm with a metal chain, allowing it to retract as well). The famous pirate became legendary. His battle style was unheard of and unmatched. He used two knuckles, one on his metal arm to strike from a distance or to grapple his enemies in, and one on his right arm to strike with the insane force that made him famous.

He never had contact with the navy or the kingdoms of maple again... well not until the Black Mage tried to overthrow the maple world, which was when the Legendary Pirate was called upon, though he wasn't easily persuaded (He graciously accepted an equivalent of 100billion mesos worth of treasure). He fought the Black Mage with the other Heroes, but as the Black Mage was sealed, the legendary pirate hero too was cursed; along with the other Heroes.

His curse was greed. The Black Mage's curse sent Utan to a far, isolated cave where he stood protecting a rock. To Utan, thanks to the curse, the rock was a treasure beyond anyone's imagination, and he had to protect it. He fought and defeated anyone and anything that happened to wander by the cave for centuries.. However, recently, a fissure shook the land, destroyed the cave in which Utan dwelled, and sent the "treasure" careening down a pit whose bottom could not be seen. Utan made it out alive, and wandered aimlessly. By sheer luck, an adventurer found him and brought him back to the nearest town (new starting town). With the treasure gone, Utan began to return to his old self. Under the curse, time was distorted for him and he'd retained his youth. However, there's no doubt his fashion sense isn't exactly in the correct century.

The storyline for your Utan character starts in a village closest to the cave you had been stuck in, where you slowly uncover a bit of who you are. Once you realize your identity, your past swiftly returns to you and your journey to becoming the hero you once were starts, once again.

[header]Playing style:[/header]
I wanted to make something very unique, unlike anything else. It uses combo's, but different from Aran's combo. It doesn't count them or whatever. This matches the Buccaneer's combo like attacks very similarly. Most of his skills have an obnoxiously long delay time before you can recast the same skill, but it can be avoided by using certain different skills that can ignore the delay. The skills each are linked so a minimum of 2 different skills must be cycled in order to ignore long delay's, however to maximize efficiency and damage, more skills could be mixed in. The very cool/special part of this class is that the next skill can activate before the previous one has finished. This class one of the strongly boss oriented Hero Classes.

[header]Skills[/header]
Grapple - Fire your mechanic hand and grab one monster in front of you. The chain retracts the hand rapidly and drags the monster back to you. If you are facing a stationary monster, you are thrown toward the monster. Long delay. Bash and Beat Down cancel delay.

Bash - Draw your right leg back, grab the monster, and thrust forward with your knee to deliver a strike that will knock the wind out of any enemy. Medium delay. Beat Down, Chain Crush, Driving Punch, and Aerial Uppercut Cancel Delay. Grapple does NOT ignore this move's delay. (this move restricts the monster's knockback)

Beat Down - Throw your fist back and thrust it down on the enemy, piling it into the ground. Medium delay. Bash and Aerial Uppercut cancel delay. Grapple does NOT ignore this move's delay.

Chain Crush - The chain that holds your hand to your arm when the hand is shot is lined with knives. Shoot your hand up and outward, extending the chain a distance, and swinging it down, hitting up to 3 monsters in a moderate range in front of you (range only slightly farther than... bandit's Steal move; moderate/short distance). The chain then retracts, reattaching the metal hand to your metal arm, dragging the monsters with it, bringing the monsters right in front of you. (stationary monsters will not move, nor will you move toward them).

Driving Punch - Using the right arm that made Utan famous and the metal arm that made him legendary, Utan draw's his right arm back then punches straight ahead with deadly force, unhindered by up to 3 monsters. Cannot be used unless either Chain Crush or Grapple was used first. (As the monster is flying toward him [unless he uses grapple on a boss, he'll fly toward it], Utan draws back and punches as the monster is flying toward him. Damage multiplier [x1.2, x1.4, or x1.6] added for distance monster is drawn toward him).

Aerial Uppercut - Using your mechanical arm, uppercut the monster and blast your mechanical fist upward to send the monster careening upward, then the fist grabs the monster and the arm is retracted back down to powerfully crash the monster into the ground once again. Stuns for 2 seconds. Long delay. Bash or Beat Down cancels delay. Grapple does NOT ignore this move's delay.

Critical Mastery - (marauder skill) Provides 60% chance for critical on stunned monsters.

Fury - For each consecutive hit you have without delay, your attack will slightly increase to a certain point. (3 hits, 105%, 5 hits, 110%, 10 hits 118%, 20 hits 130%; at max level)

[header]Example of training/bossing method:[/header]
These are only examples of the few skills I've made up, there will likely be MANY more combinations made if I created a whole lay out of the class.
Training: Grapple -> Bash -> Beat Down -> Aerial Uppercut -> Bash -> Beat Down -> (monster has been knocked back twice by beat down only, so-) Chain Crush -> Driving Punch (finisher, otherwise, repeat, starting with bash to avoid long delays).

Bossing: (run to extend grapple can reach, fairly far) Grapple -> Driving Punch -> bash -> beat down -> bash -> beat down (repeat till you get knocked back, then-) -> grapple -> driving punch

That's just a tiny lil example of what I'm talking about. It wouldn't work to do something like: Bash -> grapple -> aerial uppercut -> grapple -> chain crush.
Nor would it work to spam any of those skills.

Now you can get an idea when I say the next skill can activate before the previous finishes. Like as grapple reels the monster back, you can already half ready to deal a strike with Bash or Beatdown, so the hit is delivered as soon as the monster comes before you.

This is all just to give you an idea that I thought would make a really cool hero class for pirates.
What the Metal Arm would look like(Only from the elbow out, not the shoulder and all).

Disclaimer:
Nope, this isn't the real Utan class. Just my idea of what would make a cool Utan class.

This reminds me of King of Fighters. I had an somewhat idea simillar to yours, except the character would use both guns and knuckles, utilising a quick-equip ability (just tap a key to switch instead of double-clicking, and not having to catch your breath to do that) to chain skills together, except I realised that it would seem really messy, with the ap builds (and especially the AP builds) and all.

Other than that, it's an awesome idea. It could do with more skills though.

COUGH ITS ME REYMAR6335
OT: Umm, shoulda made a skill where you throw the monster in the air and then run around in circles that makes a vortex and keeps the monster in the air.
The arm is definitely from FA anime
I've actually never watched that.. but I've seen some pictures of the characters, and I probably had the idea floating in my head.. xD
Why do people consist of putting up there fan fiction on this site? At least put it in chat section or something since this really has nothing to do with the game itself. None of your(as in everyone) ideas will be accepted in the game. So why bother telling people about it? Makes no sense at all. If you need to post fan fiction then make a blog or something. Tell nexon directly if you want them to implement or have a chance to have this class implemented. You posting here does nothing really.
Well, way to be a downer. And I don't mean to put you down when I say this.. but get a sense of what words mean. General means anything related to maplestory. Fan fiction or not. Another good example would be the use of the word consist, as the phrase you're probably looking for would be "insist on". I know it won't be implemented, as I've stated it MYSELF in the thread, so read that before you start raging. And of course I'm aware there's nothing accomplished here, it's just my thoughts in words; basically the same as your hot headed self seems to have done on my thread.

Now, if you've nothing nice to say, don't say it at all.
