This is really quite interesting.
When the game gets harder, people are more likely to buy NX to lower the difficulty. Shops are an example. Sure, one CAN sell items in the free market entrance, but it is difficult and it takes a while. NX Cash offers shop permits, an easier way to sell one's items.
With that idea in mind (that making the game harder can increase revenue), nexon's actions make plenty of sense. For years they've focused on making it harder to [b]gain[/b] riches without nx. We can npc equips for a tenth of the price compared to two years ago; botters have been given free reign over some of the most profitable training zones, and very little has been done to stop them, making things like pieces of time nearly worthless; bosses like pap, or pianus, still give terrible drops; mastery books only come in the form of mystery mastery books, making it impossible to farm for a single kind of skillbook to sell; decent dark scrolls STILL don't drop from average monsters; dozens of endgame weapons only come from gachapon, making it impossible to acquire one's endgame weapons without purchasing them from someone else or getting very lucky; anyone who got far enough to boss would have to spend real money to karma scissor the untradeable boss spoilers -- I could go on. My point is that for the longest time, Nexon only targeted the poorer maplers. Those without money. The game was always made harder for them, in the hope that those players would surrender and buy a meso sack, or something. Instead, lots of people either dealt with the artificial difficulty, developed professions, or begged. Anyone who already had funds, or a steady way of gaining funds (an already established bossing group, for example), could watch from atop their pedestal while the rest of the game burned around them.
But this ... this move strikes right at the heart of the richest players. Imagine all those people with hundreds of white scrolls -- all of them, comparatively worthless, and still plummeting in value. Riches crushed underfoot, like so many autumn leaves.

they hevent been tradeable for the same amount of time that m.chaos/lucky day scrolls were untradeable....
due to thos scrolls being duped to....

Wait, why is that lowering the value? Soon they'll be gone; shouldn't that increase people's desire for them (to get it now, before it's gone) and drive up prices?
edit: Wait, never mind. I'd forgotten that people used it more as a second currency. Forget I said anything; it makes sense now.

Broans are still some how getting 210m a pop for their wses.... Deflating slowly though as it gets closer.
Traded 45 of them for %str at 135m a piece before it dropped to 65m
Then sold 13 of them for 100m each
