"I Know enough to say"
This goes for any topic. Not just religion =l
How often do you hear or read someone spit out complete nonsense about a subject of matter (ex. Religion, science, sports etc.) and they obviously know little to nothing about it.
And when you call them out on it asking for evidence or any form of support, they say
"I don't need to know about (said topic)! I know enough to say (ignorant statement with no backing)! So go (sad insult here) yourself!"
Basically when you hear "I know enough...." It basically means they know jack squat :l
Like sxephil once said; If there could be another holocaust, I would want it to be of all the helplessly ignorant/stupid people of the world.
Discuss.

I'm not talking about strictly religion...
I'm talking about arguments made about topics in general and how people say "i know enough to..." when they don't really know anything to begin with.
Call it a pet peeve if you will
I just say that most religion have the same point
Praise the dude up there and be good

No, every side does it. And I don't respect people's arguments when they do, no matter how I feel about their actual opinion.
It's what scientists' theorize was be4 the BB (lulwut). And it seems plausible to me, but maybe not to you.
i think the guy is trolling you :o
He called it the FB (Flash bang i'm assuming if he did it on purpose lol)
@LoveHate: The facts they normally quote aren't true; they only use them because it's what they've been told. So yes, I think they're stupid, because they don't think for themselves. And I said I found it hilarious and depressing, not that it was hilarious and depressing. I'm completely open to the cons, and I'm not asserting my own opinion as the only correct one. I just rarely run into anyone with a counterargument that's actually credible.
You especially see this in any thread where weed is even remotely mentioned. All the kids fresh out of government-funded anti-drug school assemblies jump on the self-righteous bandwagon with all their statistics and facts, none of which are actually true. I find it both hilarious and depressing.
Sometimes the knowledge required to make a claim is so great that attempting to convey it all in one session is a hopeless venture. Sometimes an issue comes up so frequently that the knowledgeable don't feel like listing and elaborating on the justifications every single time.
Of course, this is not to say that anyone who asks for this knowledge is unreasonable. But you can usually do your own research on a subject if you are capable of identifying trustworthy sources, such as academic journals instead of your typical .com website.
Otherwise, you're right. Sometimes it is just a way for people to hide their ignorance. To say you have a degree in the subject in question is similar, though it should grant a bit of credibility and respect.
Yeah i agree.
As for the research part, if you're going to argue with someone about something, it's usually best to know about the subject at hand. Which i normally do.
@redpitbull01: Actually in most arguments it is the case. More often than not its just a case of mis-information
Sometimes people do know enough to say what the want about the particular subject.
In most arguments, that's not the case.
It's different if you're talking about something like math or discussing a soccer match.
But most of the time it's
"This is a certain way, and that's how it is because i say so!"
"Proof?"
"...I KNOW ENOUGH TO SAY..." and it doesn't really advance anywhere from there.
I know enough to say that the earth was created by mutated monkey fishfrogs that had sex with a squirrel, and not god.
I know enough to say that I now praise this person.
Sometimes people do know enough to say what the want about the particular subject.
I don't really here that often enough to be a problem to me. And that's pretty brash of you to want any specific group of people to go under a mass extermination.
It was basically a joke with a message.
"Hope ignorance/stupidity would "die" " but it's abundant, so like racism, it's here to stay
I don't really here that often enough to be a problem to me. And that's pretty brash of you to want any specific group of people to go under a mass extermination.
