My Bro just did the Ice Bucket Challenge

ALS, why haven't you forsaken us? Do you think insta-chance of getting hypothermia is FUN?

Eventually, all muscles under voluntary control are affected, and individuals lose their strength and the ability to move their arms, legs, and body. When muscles in the diaphragm and chest wall fail, people lose the ability to breathe without ventilatory support. ALS does not affect a person's ability to see, smell, taste, hear, or recognize touch.

You're literally stuck in a cell shaped like a body. You cant move or talk, but you can still see everything that goes around you. I have gotten frostbite before, ive gotten pneumonia before, but i would take either or those over getting stuck immobile in my own body.

Btw, anything can kill you. You can die from literally anything. Getting killed isnt what is terrible about als, its the not being able to move ever again part.

That is nothing compared to what people with ALS suffer. My teachers father died from it and it was terrible. No one deserves a disease like ALS, and you're complaining about a bit of cold water

i think it has to do with ALS. to share the xperience of the muscle movements, not really about the cold.
