So Im getting a new car.
A brand new 2013 car
I was thinking about the Dodge challenger or a Chevy Camaro SS1
but the thing is there is only RWD. I was wondering how would a RWD + very good snow tires do for the winter.
Also which car is better?
[Chevy camaro SS1 have has around 420 HP while Dodge challenger srt 8 has around 470 HP]
Thanks in advance
American cars, ewwwwwwwwwwwww (especially a camaro, lol wtf). Major tailgators but can't turn for ****.
Where real Murkan durability is.
No but on a serious note, I recommend getting an AWD since it's better for the terrain (obviously snow tires too). Auto or Manual, depends on your preference, I mean keep in mind, this will be a vehicle you will use on a daily basis, no?
I can always buy a crap car for the winters o _ o...

@primalfurey: There is a automatic transmission choice you know...
@lettucing: I've always been single irl therefore i don't spend cash on others really, i save all the money from gifts and when i was a kid i saved every penny from my paper route job and then i worked various jobs and saved up. Long story short a lot of saving, gifts, hard work, stocks, etc etc
M1A2 Abrams.
Personally I wouldn't buy the newest car out, they're extremely overpriced and lose value fast, try getting one from last year or the year before.
But get a Camaro, dey r smexy
Yes, but if im a little short [most liekly not] my parents will pitch in as a high school graduation present
@TehRaygunicorn: Definitely getting it in black and eventually i'm gonna customize it, if possible and have like a madonna blue interior seat leather with the same color rims and halo lights after all [Madonna blue / Cyan] is by far my fav color with black <3
How did you acquire so much money?
If you are worried about winter handling, don't get a RWD car.
then learn to drive before buying a new expensive car, don't come crying when you've wrapped yourself around a tree.
I can drive a automatic just not manual.
auto's are better for a drag, the only thing american cars dont completely fail at
Well lets hope so because i cant shift to save my life </3
The Camaro SS1 is better look-wise.
You're going to need snow tires for the winter for either car anyways.
@MostSwagNA: Ah.... well i live in Canada the land of winter which is why i need to make sure how these bad boy's run
My mom is going to trade her 2012 Camaro for the 2014 model.
Needless to say, Camaros are cool.
Any idea on how well it ran during winter? or did she kinda kept it stored safe and sound?
@TehRaygunicorn: That is if i can learn how to drive a manual transmission LOL, ive always drove automatic transmission cars D:
Not really about racing its just which car is nicer in general / how well does it operate in the winter seasons for this forum, since i dont wanna end up spinning to my death D:
@MostSwagNA
lul moms in camaros..
@Repchi if you're racing you shouldn't ask here then! hahaha look up racing times and such online, make sure you get manual transmission for more speed
Don't get the ss1, get the luxury base model
Save yourself a ton of money and you'll still have a ton of horsepower *much more than you actually need* and not have to kill yourself paying for gas
Well you see my friend is a Car-a-holic, he will most likely beg me to race against his mustang GT, but ill most likely smoke him since it only has around 350 HP. I'm planning on racing with alota friends which is why i considered the SS1 since the SS2 is like 20 grand more
@sinakone123: well i do live in Canada so i hope so, my friend said as long as i don't gun it and drive properly with good snow tires i will be 100% fine. I agree that Camaros indeed are stylish. its basicly Style Vs Speed

Get that chevy camaro, I dig that more than the dodge. Also AWD is alot better than RWD in snow but since ur going with these two RWD cars ...
Not that its a big deal though, rear wheel drive can still manage in snowy conditions.
My best friend just bought a camaro and it's really sexy (you better get it in black)
The challenger's gas mileage is horrendous compared to the camaro and I'm under the impression it's a less reliable car too
(Chevy > dodge in terms of reliance I believe)
My vote is for the camaro. You'll save a bunch of money too
Are you buying it yourself?
