I'm going to take a wild stab and say that you're that person that finds a problem where there shouldn't be a problem.
i shrug it off because those who think they're mature are the most immature people i have met.
i know for a fact i'm a kid that can't do anything right.
@OnlineMusic: if a mod suspend me for such a petty thing...

What's funny is that now you have a suspension in coming...I got suspended for jokingly commenting the same thing before.
I don't have friends like that but I do have a friend that's always thinks way too highly of himself to the point where it's arrogant. I call him out on it when he's being too annoying about it and he stops but for the most part I let him live in his little world so long as he isn't belittling me or anyone else.

@GizzyJones: I stupidly cracked the top part of my skull while headbutting a concrete wall when I was little, and the only serious thing was ONLY the open crack. The doctor told my dad who eventually told me "If this kid's head managed to mostly stay intact after a blunt force like this, he probably be fine even with a blunt hit from a frying pan really." I understand the concern over blunt hits on the head like that, but again I suffered MANY head problems throughout my life and not one was anything serious. Hence why I'm mostly lax with cases like this. Even I agree I should be more concern with it.
@ScrambledEgg: I suffered worse head injuries before, this is nothing. Plus I don't trust doctors due to making stupid excuses saying "Oh, this is wrong! This is a problem" blah blah blah then they charge you for it. I appreciate the concern, but don't worry I'm fine, really!
You seem kind of stupid. Being knocked out is a very serious deal. You could have had some kind of internal hemorrhaging if you truly got "knocked out". You could have it even if you didn't.
My sister and ex gf act VERY immature a lot of the time. One particular moment I'll never forget was during a trip to Six Flags. They both wanted me to ride one of the rollercoasters. (Can't remember what the ride was it was so long ago...) Even though I didn't want to go on it, they both yelped and smacked me repeatedly just to get on it. I wouldn't budge an inch, so at that point my ex gets behind me and knocks me out. Next thing you know I wake up on the seat as the ride was about to take off. It was a horrible experience.
Did you visit a doctor after getting knocked out? Cause that's like super bad for you

I nod on and ignore it? Unless they're really portraying something that their not, then maybe I'd tell them, but damn, just let them have their "feel-good" moment... we all need it sometimes.
I don't think I have an obnoxious friend like that.
Make new friends?
@dopeazn: Thanks brah. The opinion of some random dude really affects me. Really I swear you're important. I'm definitely not being sarcastic.
I let them run their own show and watch them crash and burn. It works like a charm especially for volleyball players who think they can play.
Slap them
Friends? What friends?
They're making an effort to better themselves, why is that a bad thing? On the other hand, if its unbearable I always treated similar people with cynicism and tried to negate whatever uncomfortable atmosphere they're trying to create. Make light of the situation, maybe they'll see what they're doing looks ridiculous.
Again though: you make it sound like it's just mildly annoying and they're trying to be a better person. I don't think anyone should punish another person if it's not actually harming anyone. REALLY ask yourself if their "fakeness" is annoying or if they're actually imposing on other people (i.e. criticizing other people for not thinking like them).

I personally think that the only way to deal with friends like these is to ignore them when they're acting immature. I'm not sure what talking will do about it but you could try.
tell them to be more mature for their age like i am

@iDrinkOJ: Eat plenty of eggs.
@Reticent: I don't like the taste of blood. I'm considering being a vegetarian one day.
You can't.
I don't have friends.
I don't have friends like that.
I eat them for lunch.
You'll get indigestion. Was it worth?
I eat them for lunch.
