Did you bother to read the patch notes?
You are the top platforms when you start. If you get 1 question wrong, you get sent to the bottom. When you are at the bottom you can decide to watch or leave.
When a question is asked at the start you got 10 secs to move to the O or X. Do not stay in the middle. If you get the question correct, you continue, if wrong you get dropped to the bottom and you lose and you can watch or exit.
Better lucky next time
@LegendaryNee agreed! not enough time to look up answers too : also the lag in the beginning can make you lose and go to the bottom

I logged in, got invited to one, by the fifth question everyone was on the bottom except for me, guessed my way to 20/20 rofl.

Nope you just go to the side. You're good as long as you're not on the bottom.
