I'm kinda scared this is my first surgery. It's on my nose.I'm having it because a part of my nose is blocked so they're going to fix that.

Deviated septum? I'm getting a nose job on the NHS 'cause of that, but also because I hateeeeee my nose!

As Dunduns said, you won't feel a thing. Once they give you the medicine that knocks you out, you literally fall asleep in a couple seconds.

It sounds scary, but it's not- there's not even time to be scared. Then you wake up and everything's all done. Whether it was 20 minutes or 6 hours, you won't even know.

No one can probably totally comfort you, but try to at least take a tiny bit of comfort knowing that everyone who has been through one will say the same thing- all the worry was for nothing! My wife panicked before her first surgery a couple years back (Wisdom teeth), and after she was laughing about how she spent weeks being nervous for nothing!

You'll be telling yourself the same thing. It's natural to be a bit worried, but later you'll be laughing at how you were worried for nothing.

Good luck!
