Arch Mages in Chaos
So... Hopefully this post will help me (and others) clarify... What's supposed to happen to Arch Mages (Both F/P and I/L) during/after the Chaos update? I've read Spadow's blog but the structure of his posts are confusing me a bit. It seems I/L's get a damage buff to CL or something?
Sorry for any grammar problems, English isn't my first >.>

I'm going to miss my MP Eater.
Im not sure if this is true, but theres a rumor going raound that at choas or jump patch, the mages can spam their ultamate skills again.
Just cuz one person says it, doesn't make it a rumor. I wish Nexon made it so that we could spam ultimates during infinity; now THAT would be cool.
To TS: Mages get buffed and MP eater gets nerfed. The buff still isn't enough to mak emages on par. After JUMP!, I think mages are just on par with other classes....

yes, and we hav 30% potion mastery too (:
@DemoDango: my experience is that i only used less than 20 pot for 2 hour training, sounds impossible i think
A few changes far as I remember (too lazy to look them up again ):
CL: 770% -> 850%
Paralyze: 620% -> 770%, dot 160% -> 180%
Fire Demon: 290% -> 430%
Poison Mist: dot 160% -> 210%
I believe that the DoT for Paralyze will become 140%. (first they nerved Paralyze's damage to 540% or so, with increased DoT (210%) Later they reversed it, making the damage itself higher but the DoT lower.
As for Poison Mist... I dont remember anything about changes to Mist. It could very well be a 210% DoT from then on. ;o
CL and Fire Demon seem right to me.
At low levels MP eater is made of love.
At high levels, you barely notice the difference...
Guess it sucks for the low levels. However we level up so fast now post BB, you don't really need to worry about it. Maybe the nerf isn't as bad as you think.
On my BaM, drain (3% of my dmg (or something), i get about 60 hp per monster atm) fully heals and keeps my health full pretty easily.
Maybe MP eater (after nerf) is going to be safe?
I have all the chaos changes to the adventurer mages listed in the first post of this thread:
http://www.basilmarket.com/forum/2059947/0/Mages_Post_Jump_Were_Better_Off_Talking_Post_Chaos.html#
@Rionnon: Since they don't have MP eater, BaMs use a colossal amount of MP potions already.
@IImaplers: the DoT of Paralyze and Mist go down from those values; 130 and 180 if I remember correctly. Or maybe I'm mixing in the Jump update values. I don't recall.
The Magic Guard mechanic drains our MP when we're both training alone and bossing, since when we're hit most of the damage is converted to eating up our MP rather than our health... So we never really 'coast through' without potting. The MP eater nerf was pointless imo.
I went through less than 400 MP pots from 100-115...
then i burned it all at LHC.
._.

MP eater nerf? Sheesh. I dont really see the point in that.
And the buff to CL is nice... 740% to 850%? Not bad I guess.
The only notable thing to me is that CL gets buffed to 850% and MP eater gets a big nerf like Icy said.
mostly attacks are buffed, new ice strike completely and...MP eater gets massive nerf
