Somebody's got to lose. But to be fair the ref didn't even call the penalty...big foig. Oh well. At least there's always a next year.

from what i know (i say this tentatively because i live in richmond), there are a lot of gangs and shootings in surrey, and they are generally perceived by the rest of vancouver as tough guys.

I live in vancouver...and so do 2 million other people. You can't tell us not to cheer for our own team, especially when they almost won the cup last year. Yes, there are the stupid, arrogant ones who think that Kesler, burrows, and the sedins are the only important players. But do you remember the Jeremy Lin bandwagon? Many (not going to say all) asians across north america jumped on that one pretty quickly. Maybe 30% of them actually knew what they were talking about. You can't stop the ignorance, just learn to deal with it.

These are hockey players, not scholars. They are paid to shove a small disk into a net using a stick, not to solve world hunger.

Since you don't really watch hockey San Jose didn't have a chance on winning that series.. not enough consistent goal scores are on the Sharks and Louis has amazing shutdown defence team with a avg~abv avg goalie.. and ofc they don't have the "special" goal scores but with good D comes good O... classic

As much as it pains me to say this:
The kings haven't had a chance in 11 years. They fought hard and at least deserve some of the action. If they end up winning the cup though, I will flip out

Well it's definitely more humiliating for an awesome team to be eliminated in the first round, but it's more heartbreaking for them to lose in the finals. If you ask me I'd rather take the humility
