It's Her 18th Birthday

Today is her 18th birthday. This is the day I should have been with her.

Oh well. :^)

Hope she's having fun. I had a great day today.

Firstly, my friend has the same birthday as her, so that was interesting. Wished her a happy birthday and it was great.

Despite having four hours of sleep, I managed to destroy my last economics midterm and get an A in the course. After that midterm, I had lunch with my old roommate and it was great. Then I went to my other economics lecture where I got a shout-out in front of the whole class because of what I said the first day of class. My amazing professor was giving a whole farewell speech, telling us that we're all intelligent (despite the class average being in the 50's) and that we should pursue our passions. He was like, "I was on a plane the other day, and I started thinking about what Franco said the first day of class. When I was going around the room, asking what you guys what your missions in life were, he told me that he wanted to be remembered and that got me thinking..." I was really cool.

After that, I spent literally 5 hours in computer lab trying to finish my final project. We had to code Hangman in Python which was a little difficult, considering how much I hate coding. It took 5 hours because the TA's were swamped, as all kids were panicking, and once they started helping someone, they helped him till he was done, so it took some time. Meanwhile, I was just talking to this Asian girl the entire time. She was laughing at my project because of how behind I was, but I just kept a positive attitude and it all worked itself out. After I got the one function I needed help with, I went to eat. I decided to treat myself and get Starbucks because I was done with classes. At Starbucks, I saw my ex-friend's crush from last year and we chatted. It was really great.

Then I went to office hours for computer science because I figured I'd see the Asian girl there, because she mentioned she would be there, and I thought she'd have an early spot in line so I could go in with her for help. She was there and we just chilled. I helped fix her paper, which was filled with fobby typos. After that, she let me come see the professor with her and we got the solution to the same problem we had on the project.

Then we went to eat and she paid for my food. We just sat and chilled. Mind you, she was touching me like all day. But ya. Got her number and ayy lmao'd out of there. Did I mention she's premed but wants to be an actress? Ya, one of those.

Then I went back home to my building and met my dance team because we're planning a party for a member who's leaving the school. After that, I got news that I was recommending for a HUGE opportunity next semester (won't share till I get it for sure). It was bittersweet because it requires me to move buildings and I love my floor because I'm like the main guy among all the freshmen. But ya. I called my mom to talk about it, and am going to have lunch with this girl in a club I'm in who will hopefully give me some good advice for it.

But ya. I had a great day.

Like my wonderful economics professor said today, "Life is painful. You fall in love, you stress over the future, your plans don't always go as planned -- it's all bad. But it's important to just keep yourself among good company and pursue your passions and it will all follow through and you will have a fulfilling life."
