What Do You Think Happened?

So one day, I logged on to maplestory and my pc was kinda laggy. I was in the FM and because of the lag, when I clicked on a store, I couldn't go in; it was like the screen was frozen (but I could still move around). I was kinda clicking around, annoyed that I couldn't interact with anything. After about a minute, the lagging stopped and I was able to go into stores. But then I noticed that my mesos were gone -___-. I had a little over 600 million mesos in my inventory before I logged on and now I only have 9 million......
I thought maybe I accidentally bought something when I was clicking around during the lag. My theory was proved when I saw a random, worthless belt in my inventory and the same thing that was bought in someone's shop (I know, I'm such a fail XD). But here's another thing: The belt was only 300-400 million mesos, but why do I only have 9 million left? O_O I looked through my inventory, like, 5 more times and found nothing else, besides the belt, that I didn't have before. Also, later on I noticed that my evo ring was gone (I also checked everyone of my characters to see if they had it).

Now for those of you who are thinking that maybe someone went on my account and took my stuff, only one person knows my password and pic. We once traded account infos cause he was helping me on something which required logging onto my account. He is a good friend that I have known for a while and I am sure that he didn't do anything. Another thing that you guys should know is that after we told each other our passwords and emails that we use to log in, I realized that we didn't tell each other our pic numbers. So I logged back onto a different account to wait for him to log back on so that we could exchange pic numbers. Oh god, this story is getting a bit long lol sorry Well, while I was waiting for him to log on, I met a friend in the fm. Now [i]this[/i] friend -let's just name him friend #2- was also someone that I knew for a long time, even longer than friend #1. Well, here's the thing...friend #2 used to hack lol, but that was a while back and now he says that he doesn't anymore. I chatted with friend #2 while waiting for friend #1 and told him that we were exchanging account infos.

Now here are my theories on how my mesos and my evo ring could have disappeared:

1: They were duped. (friend #1 suggested this theory).
2: I was hacked. I don't know a lot about hacking, but is there a way that someone can hack and see what someone else whispers to another person? Is that possible?
3: Maybe friend #1 was lying. ( I really doubt this because I trust him).

Sorry that the story is so long XD I guess I'll make a poll since polls are fun. Also, if you have any other ideas of how everything happened, please comment. This all happened a month or two ago and I never really cared about what happened since I'm not a hard core mapler. Maybe the reason that my stuff disappeared is simple and I just don't realize it, but I just wanna see what others think about this.
