World of Warcraft worth?

I kinda want to try this game out, but I hear you can't play for very long until you pay. Is the starter edition worth playing?

It was good until post lich;most players currently cling to wow based on nostalgia. I recommend finding a different game.

I personally got bored of it once I hit level cap and finished my pvp gear but if it's going to be your first time, I think you'll have a blast.

WoW is trash now. Don't listen to any blizzard D gobblers that say otherwise.

Veteran players will probably tell you the game is dying. Of course, that's been said at every expansion through all the years.
I did stop playing for awhile - got tired of farmvilling it up with the garrison and boat yard, but I did enjoy the time from the start of Warlords.

I can definitely recommend that you try it though. Playing the game for the first time was absolutely amazing, with the sense of exploration and discovery before knowing everything about the game.
Blizzard did change it so that you only have to pay $20 for all the previous expansions (including a 1 month sub), and sometimes on sale for like $5, which is insane, so it's a lot easier than having to throw down full price for each $40 expansion like before. You should be able to decide if you want to get Warlords by the time you finish 1-90.

Starter Edition's 1-20 isn't bad either for trying it out. It's a bit slower without a mount, but hey it's free so couldn't hurt. You're free to make as many level 20 characters as you like in starter edition.

I can easily justify the sub myself since they came out with the wow token, which is pretty easy to pay for within a month with a max level character.

Hope you have fun if you try it out.

that doesn't even matter, WoW has millions of players, even if ppl say is dying a normal server has more population than Maplestory the whole.

If you have someone to play with, is a nice experience. Try to see on different forums if someone wants to help you, because ppl is interested on helping new players (they get special mounts and a free month for inviting and playing with them, also you get double experience if u play with them).

Try to buy the game when Blizzard makes an offer, since it's very often and you can buy the entire game (without the last expansion, Draenor) with a 50% discount. That will allow you to play until level 90, where most of the fun begins.

I'm not that experienced, but if you have a question, feel free to ask and I'll try to help you! is a very fun game
