Dropping everything for a new server?
I'm a pretty unfunded player. I've occasionally purchased NX, but the most valuable item I own is an absolute ring. I really hate how dead Khaini is and I'm thinking of dropping everything to move to Scania or Windia. The only think I'll miss is all the Perma NX, but I wanted to get some thoughts from Basil here. How hard do you think starting over will be? I kinda' want to main Kanna now too, and so either way I kinda feel stuck. Continue my Zero, who I like... but not as much as Kanna on my home server, or start from scratch on Scania or start as a Kanna on the home server? It almost makes me want to quit, you know...? All the work of being unfunded and all and those hot times and the mounts and the events and whatnot... all can't be transferred. So what are your thoughts Basil? Is it an easy choice for you, or do you feel that it's easy to pick up again and that CS stuff shouldn't be a factor?

You can make new friends in bera
Add me if you need starting help !
I'm in Renegades and its as dead (if not worse) as Khaini, so I get what you feel. You walk around all day and you see the same people it stopped being awkward.
My advice would be to go with what you expect out of MapleStory. For some people it is the grinding/leveling part, which is the case for me; I picked Renegades because I have a group of close IRL friends who play with me and so with that small group, we've reached enough level/range to fight most bosses and also made a guild and got to know some trustworthy folks who we believe will hang around with us for a while. If you're looking for more of a social thing with Maple friends then I highly recommend switching to Windia/Scania. Good luck!

No problem!
I'm not on Windia but I hope you enjoy playing there.

The game is what you make of it; finding a few good friends is better than having a lot of strangers to talk to, at least in my opinion. I could have just as easily thrown money at the screen in a different world, but friends can't be found everywhere, which is why my friends and I are still in GAZED. If you have a few friends in Khaini, consider asking them to move at you if you do decide to move.

come to bera!
If you choose to restart in Windia, I can give you some mesos to help you get started
I recommend bera !
@goofyx13: Unless it's going to be a 1 meso world transfer, we're GIVING them money. Also, when the population was more populated couple years back, they actually took the hint and did some world merge and world transfer. It's going to be ten years this year and it's freaking pathetic how they still can't stabilize their servers. Of course there are some bad apples that just have to ruin it for others, but that doesn't mean the rest of us should suffer </3 >.< sigh.
@joblessjim : Last time a world merge happened, a world transfer event came shortly after. So, if one comes, the other will come next unless for some reason Nexon only decides to do only one. Let's be honest here, Nexon just doesn't give a damn at this point, I mean really. Some of the already merged worlds are STILL in low population as it is ...
Hello!
I'll recommend you to do this:
1) DO NOT delete your characters on Khaini.
Maybe someday Nexon will start selling World Transfers again and you'll be able to move all your stuff to any server you want.
2) Go and create a Kanna on Scania or Windia and start from scratch and get her to Lv. 100 as fast as you can.
I did that this week. I'm on GAZED and I wanted to make a Zero on Scania but I did not have any characters there and you need a Lv. 100 character to create it.
So, I made a Kanna and started with 0 meso. Kanna trains very fast once she gets Kishin. I got her to Lv. 100 in a day unfunded. You'll get almost all your equips killing mobs.
Loot all the items and mesos, sell all the equips that you will not use, like low level equips and gear for other clases. Sell useless Etc. and Use items too and use your mesos to buy HP pots.
Doing that you'll get your Kanna to Lv. 100 in a day or two.
3) When you get your Kanna to Lv. 100, make a Zero.
Hopefully, you'll get your Kanna to Lv. 100 like I did before the Zero creation event ends on January 20th.
You'll have the two characters that you like on Lv. 100 in a new server in just a day or two. Isn't that cool?
Then you can go ahead with your normal training and after a while, you'll be able to merch to get mesos and perma NX again.
World transfers are bad at this point. They need to do a world merge. World transfers will just leave the dead worlds even deader, and the people that stay there to suffer more.
And honestly, what is the point of having all the servers if the population doesn't populate all of them equally? merge> transfers.
@CherryTigers: Oh I just checked, if they don't bring it back by this summer, it will offically be two years. STILL NO UPDATE FROM NEXON/ CMS/GMS RAGE >.< >.< </3
Word transfer is a hard thing to do.. Last time it opened doors to dooping and alot of bugs in the game.

@TheQueen: I think the last world transfer happened 1.5 years ago, actually.
Start fresh in a new server. What I would do is start in Windia and one day, a world transfer will come in which I could move one of my characters. Scania doesn't accept new players in world transfer so that's why I picked Windia.
Eventually, a NX cash transfer event will also come in which you can move your NX around after the world transfer happened.
That would be an ideal situation of course, but I'm sure in time, it could happen.
Best of luck.
WORLD TRANSFER, WORLD TRANSFER, WHERE ART THOU? It will be three freaking years since the last time we had it omg ! It's been long overdue ! But Nexon doesn't give a rat's ass cause they're too lazy and cheap to stabilize the servers RAGEEE ! >.< >.< </3 </3
@Animatals
@CherryTigers
I think you guys have convinced me on Windia since it's the largest mentioned that I might be able to retrieve those items on. Can you Windia players maybe point me into a good friendly community to hang out with? Maple's no fun without friends!
@royale876 dont drop let me get those items. but yah i just came back 2 months ago and khaini is extermely dead if i diden't have so much perma nx and characters i'd switch worlds.
Those are the only servers left that aren't dead.
Honestly I'd say join Bera, Scania or Windia. Make a strong bossing class and kill Gollux for a few weeks at any difficulty you're comfortable with. You should be able to descently fund a class to over a 100k+ range in a week or so. When you have enough funds then make you're Kanna.
That's what I did, made around 12bil+ in 3-4 weeks (not bragging, I know it's not a lot. Trying to give a realistic expectation) on my Zero from scratch, then chose to fund a NW.
How long will it take to fund a character like Kanna from Scratch. I'm pretty sure I can sell Kishin, right?
Start fresh in a new server. What I would do is start in Windia and one day, a world transfer will come in which I could move one of my characters. Scania doesn't accept new players in world transfer so that's why I picked Windia.

Im in winda
its cool to start fresh
