Is there a way to skip FriendStory chat and cutscenes?
Basically one of the most annoying things ever put into MapleStory. Unlike Black Heaven, there's a lot of pointless cutscenes, quests and talk. I know it's fully optional but unfortunately there are some important events and rewards tied to it, so I need to complete all six acts. Any advice about how to skip everything faster? The new big NPC chat UI is giving me lots of frustration.
Thanks!

You can remove the prerendered ones if you delete them from your Maplestory intallation folder. Like the ones they show at the startup when a new class is announced?
Use NPC chat when it's an "Accept/decline" part, use Enter when it's a "Yes/No/ and spacebar for everything else.
@rushiosan: I thought you meant the intro cutscene
There's no other way to skip the rest then
Hold down spacebar to skip dialogue and press esc for video cutscenes.
The dialogue might be pointless, but you will enjoy it more if you read it instead of pointlessly skipping dialogue and being frustrated at the game for a couple of hours.
@rushiosan: Ah, well I don't really know how to skip things any faster. I agree that the animations are painfully slow.
I did most the quests on ch1 so I'd see people come through and it made me feel better knowing that other players had to sit through it as well. Misery loves company.
Why would you skip it. Make some friends.
Some of the dialogue is actually hilarious, just saying.
I agree, there are some funny parts, but most part of it actually is just one or two lines of pointless text and slow animations to hold your hand. Gets frustrating after a while...

First chapter took me half an hour (spamming the space bar), are all the other five that long?
