Right click and run the autoup.exe located at C:Nexon*HShieldUpdateautoup

Then right click and run the HSUpdate.exe located at C:Nexon*HShieldHSUpdate

pretty sure they mean left click.. i haven't slept in 24 hours so my typings probably horrendous

have you played any[b]P[/b]izza [b]S[/b]lices lately? Just wondering, if you have or havent. Have you tried disabling the microsoft loopback network?

if your in windows 7
- start
- in the search bar look up network and sharing center
- click change adapters at the top, if you want to figure out which ones a microsoft loopback, right click and go to properties,should say connection using: at the top in a box

if your in windows xp
- start
- in the search bar look up network connections
- should be in the same folder as windows 7 sorta, to find which one is a microsoft loopback, right click and go to properties, should say at the top in a box.

@xlegerasx: Tried all of those, none worked so far. Any other possibilitie? Ive been searching through google as well but not found a solution.

So many factors could be involved here, decided to google your issue and noticed theres usually another set of branch numbers that let you know what exactly is the issue.
first off, make sure your antivirus isn't blocking hackshield from updating. if you'd like, temporarily turn off your antivirus (disable it temporarily) and try running maple, if it doesn't work then yeah its not that.
second, try running the hsupdate.exe in the hackshield folder in the maplestory directory, apparently running this several times helped someone (think he said 3)
third, someone said they accidently set IE into work offline mode... which apparently messes with HS... not sure who uses IE anymore... lol
fourth, if none of those work.. idk let me look around some more, let me know if they work or not. :C maybe someone else will post a fix before me

edit: just out of curiousity have you tried the manual HS patch on the nexon site?
