Not quite right. With the latest FP Coin case event, you could get the slot protection scrolls from the coin shop. 2 per character. Luckily I have quite a few characters. Simply trade your gollux item over, use the scroll on it, then trade it back. and scroll it on your main/character with gollux scrolls.
Take advantage of events such as these.

last time i checked,like a few weeks ago, perfected rein ring went for 3 bil ish. i could sell you mine, 3 bad lines of epic potent for slightly below fm price
Erm... mathematically, it is cheaper to make your own however, luck isn't always on your side so you might want to buy it for "safety".
