like really? you'd rather work your butt off at work AND take care of your kids when you get home? meanwhile your husband gets himself drunk or doesn't help you out at all with the kids
why would you want more crap to do, i mean i'd rather just stay at home and play video games and clean the house while my hubby do everything else

housewife = state of perpetual inconsequence
First of all, I would be in a relationship where both of us do the housework and take care of the kids. Secondly, I would go crazy if all I did all day was cook. I spent a week doing that and I hated it. Lastly, I like being able to pay for myself and my significant other from time to time. I feel useless when my boyfriend pays for me too often.

I could definitely see the appeal in being a housewife. You learn how to become a really good cook and more <3
but anyways, there are definitely disadvantages too. You're financially dependent, you have nothing to do all day...
Some females would rather be independent than be a housewife, I suppose. It's all personal preference.
And someone who has a job, education, etc, can always fall back and become a housewife. On the other hand, going from a housewife to getting a job is much harder.
At least I get money.

i mean look at jobs where a woman and a man get paid equally but the man does more work

@SaneleeBoring I see where you're coming from. But the way I see it, women in the workplace is more about respect than anything else. It all depends on what matters more to you.

because women want respect, independence, and to be treated as equals. for example, women still don't get paid as much as men in the same profession. the husband should help out his wife with the household chores.
