Are you playing to win?
Playing to win: pursuing perfection or as close to it as possible. You might say that the "chase" is what makes the game fun&appealing. I took this too seriously, I got in over my head. Can't even compare this type of MapleStory to the game I used to play. I miss that game. Time to ease off the accelerator and just kick back.
Scania heat driving me crazy. I can't take it anymore, hah. Gonna take some time off to focus on classes. Then when I come back I'll play for fun, with hopes not to get caught up in the pay to win echelon of Scania. I'll probably look for humble beginnings in some new world.

OTlaying any game especially this, comes down to friends and getting that nostalgia years ago when I first started. Getting to have conversations with people and just simply chatting about work/plans on the future/emotions, anything really is really awesome to me. With how things seem to be now is a really competitive atmosphere where many shut themselves to soloing ergo not speaking too much.
Long story short I enjoy the social interactions and nostalgia. To win to me is to complete absolutely everything; that is things like, personal goals,quests, etc.
(Kindda off-topic):Warms my heart seeing positive(-ish) feedback on this kind of thread, usually it's bashing on types of ways of 'winning' by means of paying (pay to win).

@savgestarz: Im just saying it seems rather wasteful to pay for it all o.o thats not playing a game, thats watching a game if there is no challenge to anything that you do.
The only way you can beat this game is you do 50m crouching and doing a regular attack.
I just try to get stronger to be new bosses and do dojo. Having friends makes this way more fun and easier. I find it dumb that people spend money on cubes but that's just me. I was gonna finally cave in during miracle time I just decided to suck it up and use the free cubes and maple points I had saved up. Free2Play and win is still possible, it's just that p2w makes everything 10x easier.
I've played Maple for a few years now, and I never cared for damage, and I think it's ridicoulus to spend so much money on cubes, etc. But all these years I've never ever reached Level 200. So, this is my only goal, to tell myself I finaly made it to 200 atleast once.

its your personal opinion; and it's fine as long as you keep it that way. hope you're not judging others that choose to; once you start judging it gets messy.
I play for fun as of trying to do new things besides the "must" daily things (gollux, attendance, events, etc). Funding a character is kinda fun from my view, it takes time when you want to turn an item from an average regular one to a good one. Other than that, PQ-ing with friends, chatting and other things are also fun to have.
The most important thing, is to have friends to play with. Without them, I would've quit years ago.
All I have done recently is hunt really old bosses, like Pianus, Pap, The Boss, etc... It's been pretty fun, although I take them down way too quickly for my liking.
I just do attendance & Gollux, thats it.
I just want to level but am too lazy to do so most of the time
im not playing to win, im playing to overcome goals, like I've increased quite a bit in power recently so its not so much a goal to beat bosses but to maybe see certain numbers? all for free obviosuly, no way im going to spend heaps of money lmao
