We fail really hard in Ice Knight because our combo drain doesn't work there.
I don't know, I feel like everytime I go to attack I only do normal attack and I cant get a full overswing in.
Yeah, the story makes Arans out to be badasses but they tend to kinda fail in Ice Knight.
Don't use Drain, it's a waste of time.
Using Combo Barrier makes things much easier for you and your comrades, if you have it.
Fenrir is a better choice than Judgement.
Rolling Spin has a small chance to stun, making it a good attack of choice for racking up combos and supporting everyone.

According to the story, I would think that arans are the best in Ice Knight.
Actually, I find Arans really good in Ice Knight. My lvl 83 Aran usually gets first place in Ice Knight (if I was in the map the whole 7 minutes, other than that, I can't catch up). I think you should use Combo Fenir as much as possible because it gets mostly greats and cools. I'm not sure if combo drain actually does anything, seeing as my Aran dies constantly by ice tempest. I hope this helped!
