Lightning Edge and Booster

So I just noticed on my Mercedes that buffing up booster and lightning edge still limits the range of lightning edge, albeit to a much smaller degree than rune of swiftness.

Has anyone else noticed this? Is it then better to just use lightning edge without booster if I want to spam it for training/movement?

Lol thanks for all the help, still can't do it I still feel a delay. Guess I need to practice.... on training in maplestory.... sad life

Tentatively I tried one sample size in one water shield buff (just over 3 minutes from mechanic card) for my Mercedes and the respective exp gain at Second Drill Hall (no party or kanna):
Lightning Edge+Leap Tornado w/ Booster On: 0.25 +/- 0.02% ~76 million exp
Lightning Edge+Leap Tornado w/o Booster: 0.24 +/- 0.02% ~73 million exp

I paid attention to the % exp gain rather than units of exp, making tracking easier but a more inaccurate picture. The deviation from these rates shouldn't be too much considering I ohko allowing for relatively uniform killing rate (and the insane amounts of exp required to level). This rate could be affected by lag, which I chose to ignore because I don't think I had any major lag spikes. The error was considering the case where I started my timing at %exp1 -/+ 0.001% and ended at %exp2 +/- 0.001% and visa-versa (e.g. 1.999%, the end of 1.99%, until 2.241%, the start of 2.24%).

From what I can tell after repeated trials is booster would still be preferable as I used the same amount of lightning edge's to get across the map for both ways. Hence booster would be faster by a little bit.

@ScrambledEgg:
Edge+Strike+Edge again really fast. If you can't 1-hit mobs with the edge combo, then it's better to use a combo with spikes.
I mostly use if for mobility reasons such as getting away from cvel's lazer and fireball. As for training, it only forks best for flat horizontal maps. I find edge+strikes+wrath to be better only if you can 1-hit mobs with it.
See everyone says LE + Strikes is better but I always get locked in place by strikes in SDH... which actually kind of detracts from exp gain than just zipping around with Lightning Edge. Was there a way to ignore this?

Slightly off topic but I really like that Lightning Edge is basically now like assaulter from the old chief bandits. Makes me nostalgic when I Lightning edge back and forth to cover a small patch of the map.

Noticed this too while training at SDH the other day. Without booster, I can get from one side of the map to the other in exactly 3 LEs, but with booster it takes me 4. Not sure which is faster though

Seems like it just feels slower without booster on but using LE+tornado but without booster you do cover more of the map, yes.

I've noticed some really decreased delay when using Edge with a rune that increases attack speed. Was able to attack mid dash with it on. It'd be hard to get all the time, without additional boosters + MPE Green pot.
@hongfung I meant with the decreased delay when using tornado. I figured there might be a slight increase in training efficiency since you can theoretically cover more mobs at once. At the same time I'm too lazy to test it out right now.
I just logged on to test how long it took to get across a map with and without booster and from what I can tell I think it takes the same amount of time to get across the map, but with booster on you get more casts in, over the same distance + time.

Interesting! I've never noticed it and always assumed LE with booster was faster for getting around with,
this was all done by using Leap Tornado to cancel the delay btw!

Why wouldn't you have Dual Bowguns Boost on? o.o
Or are you referring to the decreased delay when using lightning edge with Strikes/Tornado?
