True it's a stupid mechanic, but still easy enough get used to.

I think you need to look more carefully, all the bosses you mentioned actually give a very obvious warning that they will active damage reflect. It's normally at the top of their heads. Seriously, your character's level and your dumb questions don't even make sense. Did you buy leech to level 200 kid?

theres a damage reflect animation for dipq and such lol
if you fail to memorize the effect or your damage lines are covering it that's your loss

With almost everything I've fought that has damage reflect, I can accidentally hit them, hit all 1's, and it still doesn't kill me cause it's reflect effect isn't on yet.

CHT has that weird Damage Reflect that allow aran to heal himself if Combo Drain is active.

They perform like a 2 second animation and/or a notice of Damage reflect.
You could even memorise the timing or even the segment of hp they will begin to cast Damage Reflect

hillas literally has a textbox saying "Hilla finna reflect ur dmge real soon so ur headass betr stop hittin on dat fine af hunny"
