You need dex to job advance.

Although if there were 1h 50% scrolls, people would complain because DB's would use them on dagger AND katara. ==;

Dexless=Don't add to dex at all.
Low-dex=Capping your dex.

Regardless of if you scroll your equips for dex, they are still the same.
